Brother swaggart was my pastor in Baton Rouge, La. in the 1980"s even when He fell from grace and his ministry. God taught me That Jimmy was a Man after God's own heart and God is a ever lasting Loving God and Merciful. The church needs to learn so much about mercy and the grace of God which it lacks so much in. Jimmy is one of the greatest Evangelist of our time and the spirit and anointing of king David is in him.

Its my favourite songs and i cried and worshipped God. Yes indeed He created a tree for us for food and shelter but we used the same tree to crucified Him on it. Lord have mercy on us and save us for our sins.
I remember the first time I ever heard this song in 1988. I was so touched by God's love I had to stop the cassette, drop to my knees, and spent the next 15 minutes just praising Him before I could finish listening to the song. It is one of my favourites to this day.

I am a big fan of Jimmies. I saw him in person in Pittsburgh. He sang this song and you could feel The Holy Spirit swirling all around the Arena. Goose bumps and all. Barbara Mandrell does an awesome job on this song also. God bless Jimmie always.

This song means so much to me, as an artist, I painted a video and painted . trees. I ended it with " HE grew a tree, that became a cross, to set us free" Jesus is my Savior and I love your spirit filled music.

Brother swaggart was my pastor in Baton Rouge, La. in the 1980"s even when He fell from grace and his ministry. God taught me That Jimmy was a Man after God's own heart and God is a ever lasting Loving God and Merciful. The church needs to learn so much about mercy and the grace of God which it lacks so much in. Jimmy is one of the greatest Evangelist of our time and the spirit and anointing of king David is in him.

Thank God for His mercy, His love and His Forgiveness. Thank God that He has not judged us for our sins and therefore - who are we to judge? I pray that The Lord blesses Jimmy Swaggart and restores him to his former glory. I love this song.

@gruberosa What is "unchristianly", do you mean carnal? All of God's people at one time or another have been "unchristianly". All have sinned and have come short of the Glory of God. Like you said we have a covering... God in his great compassion sent his Son Jesus Christ so that we may be saved!, the blood of Jesus that was shed at Calvary. God is so Great and his Mercies are Everlasting! See you in Glory someday soon!

Its my favourite songs and i cried and worshipped God. Yes indeed He created a tree for us for food and shelter but we used the same tree to crucified Him on it. Lord have mercy on us and save us for our sins.

I remember the first time I ever heard this song in 1988. I was so touched by God's love I had to stop the cassette, drop to my knees, and spent the next 15 minutes just praising Him before I could finish listening to the song. It is one of my favourites to this day.
