Yeah, that's weird man. Prey's story and characters are no where near comparable to Turok. First of all, Prey's main character is a true Native American hero. Turok's character is based on a generic "indian" with no real backstory.
I'm definitely going to buy the game. Don't worry about that. I was the first person to put a Prey video on Youtube. Plus, there's nothing like supporting one of my hometown developers, Raven and Human Head that is.
I loved this trailer, but I feel that having that section of dialogue between Tommy and his grandfather while that child got impaled on a spike didn't fit well.
That's a valid point. This choice was actually quite intentional. There's a lot here we've taken out of context for the purposes of stylizing a trailer that's embued with deeper meaning. I wish I could say more! I think that's what makes this trailer fun - not all of it is supposed to make sense. If it's enough to entice, we've done our job. That said, watching it again after playing the game should be pretty rewarding. :)
