im reminded of my grandma who was totally in this boat she came to america and gave a better life to my aunts and uncles mom and grandchildren i will 4ever be greatful for her and she died so young at 65 because of all the war and struggles in asia she experienced being raped twice and conceiving the children still she is a strong woman a great woman who i will always look up too. she had to change her name move away and sent money to her fam now she finally gets to join her family in the sky
You can't say that this piece doesn't hit your heart! It is so illustrative! It really turns on that 'picture screen' in the front of your mind. By the title and various words, it made me think about Bill Wither's song "Grandma's Hands".
i just found out this year that in Taiwan that there's lots of filipino maids working for them. Since filipino can speak english it benefits the Taiwanese.
This is too good. It made me teary-eyed. Lili's hands...and all the other overseas workers... I salute them all, and to the people who appreciate and treat them well, i salute them too.
Wow! Your words are so true and well delivered. I know many Lillis who are in places like UAE, Italy, Singapore, and many other places. They sacrifice their families, their loves, themselves. Thank you for such a moving and relevant piec.
Wow...I have relatives who work abroad and who are also from Iloilo. What a coincidence. I love this because you speak so much truth about the struggles of Filipinos and others. Amazing/inspiring work!
i cried...this is amazing!!!!!!
