  • KOREAN ZOMBIE!

  • He is SOOO right about the black belts in traditional not licking rubber gaurd and twister.. i trained with a brazilian who grew up with the gracies... He didnt want me using ruber gaurd cause its not part of what he teaches.

  • "Rubber Guard illegal, you'll hurt your knee." Has that really been happening in mma/ju jitsu schools? Can anyone provide any examples?

  • Eddie come to Boston man! jiu-Jitsu needs to be introduced to the northeast in more than one form!

  • what are the chances of a school coming to Nova Scotia?

  • im not hating on eddie Bravo or 10th planet style but i do believe that u should start traditionally with a gi on then once you progress to a certain level of knowledge( blue belt perhaps) then start focusing on the no-gi style...i dont understand when i hear people syaing they learned an electric chair their first lesson...

  • Do A NEW ZEALND TRIP

  • eddie come to ny!!!!

  • Priceless

  • Isn't Eddie from Orange County California ? I'd love a 10th planet school close to home.

  • Hey when will there be a 10th Planet Newyork??

  • well you be coming to texas someday

  • oh and I got my personal nickname given by Eddie: "Mr. flexibility"! hehe!

  • Eddie Bravo is probably the guy I'm the most fascinated about. I had the chance... no, no, the honor of participating in one of his seminar. He is awesome. The way he teaches, the way he is... He's awesome.

Really nice, takes time to help out every student in the seminars, takes time to talk with them after it, and also take the time to go have lunch with us after the seminar!

I was honored to meet him, and next time he will come down to Montreal, I'll make sure I go see him again!

  • Not only is Eddie kick ass but I like the way he talks about it Mad Porps to Ed

    A Great Teacher!

  • i would love to be part of hes team.......unfortunately i live in Chicago........Damn......but i'll meet Eddie Bravo one day........ Till then ^_^

  • There will be a 10th Planet Chicago later this year...stay tuned!

  • Oh damn, there is a god!

  • any word about a 10th planet Orlando( Florida)??

  • Not yet but I'll be down there doing a rubber guard seminar in Sept 2009!

  • I will be there. Can't wait.

  • yeah i live in chicago too (actually bensenville right by ohare) I cant wait for 10th planet chicago

  • from reading your book on mastering the rubber guard(which was fucking amazing..especially when you informed ppl about weed...mind blowing..lols) my flexibility is way much better thanks to you

  • i would be honored to learn the twister from you eddie. just to be a student i would be so honored

  • haha i dunno bro he was going hard,I passed his shit....haha man eddie's seems like a lot of fun to be learning from

  • is it ironic or what that right at 4:20 he speaks the truth!!! :)

  • I find it really interesting how he talks about his own students to this crowd away from Hollywood, it really sheds some objectivity onto our school. Ego is bad yo! Experimentation is what its all about.

  • Fascinating shit!

  • "I dunno bro! He was goin' hard!" omfg I can hear it now.....

  • so I purchased the Instructional DVD & the book, my question is, is it better to have both or is the DVD enough?

  • i haven't seen the dvd yet, but the book is excellent. but nothing is better than first hand instruction if you can get it. i have attended a few of eddie's seminars and when you take it first hand, you'll understand everything more clearly.

  • Eddie Bravo is my fucking hero! Sub 101 is it possible to get Eddie for seminars?

  • I'm sold!!

  • i love how eddie is the only teacher that has a parental advisory sticker on his instructional dvds

  • love teh fact that eddie identifies ego as a blockade to progression so true and lol funnyman is a legend

  • hail to the King.........

  • Eddie Bravo is as a visionary for the jiu jitsu. It brings new thing for sport. He is really honest, he does not search glory. I well like to listen him to speak about positions and about used tactics. He is a great inspiration and a motivation.

  • true that bro true that

  • Hahaha Abu Dhaubi night, funny shit

  • Eddie Bravo funny as hell..and at the same time he KNOWS what he's talking about too. I gotta get that DVD.

  • -"was he letting uu??"

-'idk bro he was goin hard!' haha

his dvd set is the shitt.. really helpin me master the half guard.

  • This guy is great read 2 of his books keep posting more of Eddie.

He should be in some hall of fame for martial arts.

    Thanks for posting.

  • I remember I rolled with Hermes Franca 2 months ago and was able to do rubber guard on him, but he taught me some of the weaknesses in closing it. Those weaknesses were always there, he just showed them and taught them to me. But the twister side control is certainly one of the most excellent positions ever. Thanks to it, I can EASILY get the mount in comparison to regular side control. Thank you for posting this video and thanks Eddie for your innovations.

  • eddie bravo's lectures are the best source any practitioner of the art can get... i mean, eddie should be inducted in some sort of hall of fame. now seriously, the twister side control is a useful tool. i used it a couple of times and i can't still get enough of it.. great stuff...

  • He's right about the rubber guard. I used to like regular guard but then I realized that i had long legs, and rubber guard is easier for me so I started useing that instead. But I need to learn alot more techniques from rubber guard cause i know about... none come to think of it.

  • after watching some of Eddies seminar footage and reading his books its little wonder why people learn so much from him, his ideas transmit so seamlessly in a way that everyone understands.

  • "I dont want my students passing my guard, fuck that. Rubber guards illegal, it'll hurt your knee" hah.

  • lmao Eddie is so funny and really good

  • Not only is Eddie very skilled, he's also a funny and charismatic guy. Great stuff; looking forward to the rest.

  • the power of the chronic is powerful in eddie..lol...This took me a few tries to understand the move

  • Thank You!

  • ROFL... every night is abu dhabi night at my school

  • yeah I was like ROFLMFAO cuz of how true it is

  • Great video. I'm looking forward to the rest of the videos.

  • yo submissions101, thanks for postin up the eddie vids, a huge fan. they help a lot with me developin my own philosophies of the ground game as well

  • I really love all your videos! Thanks!

  • invaluable stuff as always!

  • Hey Ari, someday you should start an eddie bravo marathon on youtube. lolz

  • I am...10 days..10 videos of Eddie Stuff on our main site....

  • no, I mean weeks and weeks of Eddie stuff. just kiddin Ari, Keep up with the good stuff.

  • Do you know any good site where I can find some informations about ADCC fights, like fighters records??? I'd be very thankful!!!

  • Thats different.

  • 5/5

  • Hey Everyone: Over the next 10 days (April 11-21), we will feature 10 different videos from Eddie. Check out our main website for the latests videos.

    cheers

    Sub 101

  • thank you.

  • eddie is so funny! the flexibility needed to utilize alot of what he does takes a long time to develope though

  • That's true. I started out in traditional martial arts, and over the years, developed insane flexibility for kicking. Little did I know at the time I'd be using that flexibility for my ground game. When you're flexible, it gives you so many more options in grappling.

  • also very true!

  • ahhhhh eddie is always so funny. I love it. !! thanks for providing!

  • sweetness.

  • Nice footage

  • Good instructor.

  • can you do a video on how to that details the steps to do the twister from a neutral position?

  • Yes. As a matter of fact, we have 10 days of Eddie Bravo videos going up on our website, with twister set ups and tons more.

  • I think this video is very important because there is a great movement of 'hating' on Eddie out there. Much of it is based on his 'unorthodoxed' approach and the misbelief that he thinks traditional BJJ is worthless.

His explanation here is spot on... if you want to evolve, you have to be good at the fundmentals too, but you cannot ignore new ideas.

    Bravo, Eddie!
