shoot them in the spinal cord with a .22 just below the skull. this way you can save the skull which is quite prized and valuable. it also is a good place for the hole. the .22 does little damage and is a quick painless kill severing all communication from the brain and body. I use CCI stinger .22 ammo. It has a good kick and a hollow point to help expand.
I believe this is the most painless and humane way to kill a cat or coyote.
My little brother in montana, uses a catch pole, that the local sheriff uses of dog catches. It is actually pretty quick, and humane. Plus it makes fleshing the hide much easier. Just make sure to choke up hard, then twist the neck, and snappo!! Humane death.

I think the best way to dispatch them is t=with a release catch pole. Cats have caradid artery that runs on the outside of their neck making dispatching them very easy takes a few minutes for them to succumb to a catch pole drawn tight Coyetes completely different story

I have found if you use 2 leghold traps they NEVER get away. I know it costs more but ya make it up in more procured fur. Love that bobcat fur! when you hold it up against your cheek it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy! Nice cat dude!! hope ya catch many many more.

I'm a trapper! You cannot disrespect your catch in any way and not be considered a complete and total asshole by just about anyone on the planet! You also broke the law by not immediately killing or releasing your catch. That law is for good reason! I just ran a tiny (150 sq yds) 12 day trapline on state land and caught 5 possum, 4 coon and a coyote-it's very satisfying to be respectful, ethical and honored to encounter Gods most beautiful, renewable natural-resource.

shoot them in the spinal cord with a .22 just below the skull. this way you can save the skull which is quite prized and valuable. it also is a good place for the hole. the .22 does little damage and is a quick painless kill severing all communication from the brain and body. I use CCI stinger .22 ammo. It has a good kick and a hollow point to help expand.
I believe this is the most painless and humane way to kill a cat or coyote.

My little brother in montana, uses a catch pole, that the local sheriff uses of dog catches. It is actually pretty quick, and humane. Plus it makes fleshing the hide much easier. Just make sure to choke up hard, then twist the neck, and snappo!! Humane death.

I think the best way to dispatch them is t=with a release catch pole. Cats have caradid artery that runs on the outside of their neck making dispatching them very easy takes a few minutes for them to succumb to a catch pole drawn tight Coyetes completely different story
