@BenderDubstep You dont know what "real dubstep" means (I use that term loosely, genres are arbitrary) Think of it like somebody might say heavy metal isnt real rock and roll, to them it might be in its roots with classic rock bands when the genre started. Same applies here these are the roots, as opposed to what newer artists like Skrillex (spit) have created. You can never say Skrillex is anywhere near to this. Yes he created his own style, no its not the same as the original dubstep genre

@BadgerHunter95 actually since my post I've been able to get quite close. Simply put - square/saw waves at octave 1 with a very sharp attack/decay and a little resonance gives it a nice -thud-. Add a little distortion, and you're right - quite a number of voices - and you have a really nice pulsating synth. I did that in massive and am now trying to do something similar in my virus :)
