was watching quiksilver surf vid Clay Marzo: Just Add Water on extreme tv and heard this track... well, part of it, the second half is featured... when i watched the vid again a week later, i just had to get up and find out who wrote that song... couldn't believe it... the vines...? havent lived in oz for over 7 years so out of the loop a bit i guess... but... that sure is some evolution from 2002... caught me off guard...

I think this is the best well written song the vines have ever made. It may not be as catchy or fast pased as their other stuff, but this song is amazing. When I found out that they had to cancel their tour at the end of last year because of Craig's condition, I was deeply sadened. It seemed Craig was getting back into things and producing great music again. Does anyone know anymore info about the band or if they are done for good?

If anyone wants to see how great the Vines COULD be you should check out the AOL Sessions. If Craig would perform like he did during that "live" studio session The Vines would get the recognition that they deserve and have the potential to receive. Craig's voice is incredible but unfortunately it is rarely unveiled in concert and as a result goes unrecognized. The Vines kick ass and in my opinion 1969 is their best track.
