They need to bring good shows back to television. Don't get me wrong, there are some really good shows on TV, ie True Blood. However, the best shows seem to only be on the movie channels, so not everyone gets them. I think TV stations need to do what Nickelodeon recently started doing and bring shows like The Torkelsons.

This show makes me so sad.... This is a reality that must be shown in Hollywood more often, we have too much 'picture-perfect' films and shows depicting everyone in the United States as cultured and rich while blocking the reality that is true for many people. We need more shows like these.

@crazyonemexican sooo absolutely true! gosh i miss these shows. simple, sweet, real, to the point, humorous but heartfelt i dont like the world now. they act like everything new is improved it's not , it's completely unnecessary! i was born in 89 i'm 21 now so i'm not old and things have changed from this (when i was younger) to the crap on disney now. i miss it. i wish things stayed the same either the 70s, 80s or early 90s. i miss the 90s. it seems so long ago cause things have changed so fast

OMG OMG OMG I think I'm going to cry... for the longest time I have been looking for "The Torkelsons" on YouTube and all I found was the theme song...to whoever posted the series up I thank you...not only that but I can see the "Family Channel" logo at the bottom the screen...God, that was my favourite channel growing up- now it's crap. And to top it all off I was thinking about THIS episode YESTERDAY for NO REASON! So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me relive my childhood.

Oh I love this show, in fact, this was my favourite show that I would watch on Disney Channel (back in the good ol' days). I always thought I was a great deal like Dorothy Jane and I behaved alot like her when I was her age, and to a certain extent (sometimes) still do. This just brings back wonderful memories, wish Disney would bring this back.
