I'm pretty sure this news clip was refering to the theoretical M-class or substellar object (referred to as "Nemesis) that was cooked up to potentially explain what paleontologists had uncovered, but recently discredited, as a 26MY cycle of mass extinctions. It was theorized that our own could be a binary star system in which a dwarf star swung in an elliptical orbit around the Sun, bringing objects from the Kuiper and/or asteroid belt into the inner solar system. This has been well disproven.

are people really this ignorant and simpleminded? all these "two suns" pictures and videos are the atmosphere refracting the light from the sun and producing a double image. if there is a brown dwarf in the solar system, it is out past the orbit of pluto, and invisible to the naked eye. neptune and uranus are closer to us than any possible brown dwarf, and they were unknown until telescopes were invented. this is because they are not visible to the unaided eye, but can be seen with a telescope.

You started okay with the news clip, but it was so tiny and we did not get the full clip. I heard nothing about the sun darkening. If there were 2 suns it be visible to all the world not just the person that took the photo. Wont be the first time an object 3 or 4 times size of Jupiter entered the solar system. The last one in 2003 should of wiped us out, did nothing but went into the sun.
