  • I love this video so much..

  • Do you have the white eagle hall show in '89 or 90 where they were screening their own shirts because they didn't want to bring shirts over the border? I saw a couple of pretty great shows down there, and at the hillside hell house, Hump House... OK now I feel old.

  • @bastardformula Nope, didn't video any other of their shows. Took pics of them playing in Beacon Hill Park, and saw the Hell House show.

  • i love how they dont wear shirts in any old videos xp

  • that is a long pair of boxer underwear! ha!

  • ;D They're so young and insecure! I love BJ is like "1, 2, 3, 4" at 0:30

  • ;D They're so young and insecure! I love BJ is like "1, 2, 3, 4" at 0:30 XD

  • If you notice, Tre's drum setup back in 1992 (and in the video) is the same with the one has now. White with the two floor toms and hanging rack tom. It's unbelievable.

  • the bassline is sooo sick :P

  • I was born this day!! (I know only my mom cares)

  • Haha what a coincidence, I was born that day :P

  • at least we can clearly hear mike's beautiful bassline

  • @newsoftheidiot YEAHAHAHAH!

  • Crazy. I was at this show.

In fact I played in the opening band.

It was hot as fuck in there.

  • DUDE THERE VAN BROKE DOWN IN VICTORIA B.C. AND THEY PLAYED THIS SHOW LAST MIN,,WERD OF MOUTH..MY BAND SICK SENSE OPEND ....UN FUKINBELIEVBL

  • it almost sounds like there's no vocals on this video, It's still a good video though.

  • @jmsmilton84 The PA wasn't working at first. There were lots of 'technical issues', and it was a last minute gig, but in a room like that, nobody cared, we all had fun.

  • you will not upload any videos you have?

    please upload it.

descupe my English is not that I am one of Us.

  • @Junkpunker21: Don't you ever go to gigs? If so, why? Probably same reason I go/went. I try to go to all shows I can. Can't make/vid them all, but glad I've had the luck to a lot that I have gone to, in the venues & rooms that I had the pleasure to see some history made in (whether the world was aware or not).

  • what happens if theres a fire they getting out

  • @unemployedyouth123 fortunately there wasn't one. would have been bad probably. chances ya take with rock n roll.

  • Regarding what?

  • @swantonkincaid Regarding what?

  • wow thanks

  • Haha! Loving Billie's lil dance in the middle there!

    Awesome video! ♥

  • they only played like 2 songs here

  • @513punkrock Don't speak of things you don't know, or can't prove. I taped this video, and have 20 minutes on tape, they play about 30 minutes, approx 6 songs, and banter.

  • @sonicvisionmedia ya they played this place another time I THINK and they only played 2 songs

  • @513punkrock I believe they only played this basement once, as well as another basement, and a park. I'm pretty sure all were more than 2 songs.

  • @sonicvisionmedia

Dude you taped this? What were doing down there? XD

  • I can`t listen them, but I know this music!!! It`s fucking good!!!

  • @FinksEntourage I fixed that entry in my reply to another. In my heading it says a year and a half, not "less than a year", but I will fix that too. Cheers.

  • wow this video is absolutely amazing. wish I could have been there, but I was like 2 years old LOL

  • Mike is sooo hot.

  • wow. Wow, wow, wow. Too bad about the vocals but wow. nice - could you believe it - you video record some young punk band and 20 years later they're double diamond in sales around the world and fucking rock icons?

  • This is a really awesome video. Thank you for posting it. :)

  • how old are they in this?

  • @SmIlEyDuDe147 They're about twenty. Its sort of easy to do the math. They were born in 72' and its 92' in this vid.

  • @sonicvisionmedia okay, i didn't look at the title, and i should have. and i really can't believe i missed that. as you can tell, i'm a super genius.

  • where does it say the date of this concert? now it just says a year and a half before woodstock

  • @youarelemons umm, don't wanna sound like a jerk, but did you look at the title of the video (Green Day - Road To Acceptance - Live Oct. 6, 1992)? The Oct 6, 1992 part indicates the exact date this was shot just under two years before GD's appearance at Woodstock 94 (August 1994). (edited 2010-09-20)

  • it is not about the spectacular videos

it is not about the nice clothes

it is not about the big crowds

    its all about music

    long life to green day

  • @edgardickens Well said.

  • could u picture green day drunk and watching a marathon of their old performances

  • thats defiantly tre. he just did a lot of drugs then and was younger so he looks different

  • Mark is exactly the amplifier

  • haha hes dancing

  • wow., this is really greenday i was born the same year!! woah!! that means they were really a legend ... woah green day is the best band

  • god damn this is ancient. LOL.

  • I was 12 when this happened, I saw them open for Bad Religion at the Black Cat in DC the next year. First time I saw them. Damn im old, lol.

  • @ryanthepunk2002 Pretty sweet show to see when you were 13, GC & BR, in DC.

  • tre cool the best drummer

  • I was born a day before this.

  • wow cool! i was born 3 years, one month and 8 days after this concert!

  • I was not even born that year!!!!!

  • i was turning 1 that day ^^

  • tre cool..... ummmmm sexy xD

  • wow! tre actually isnt fat!.. he has pecks! O.o

  • you calling tre cool fat

  • @1knutt Mark is exactly the amplifier

  • tré looks so young :)

  • thats not tre? read the description :}

  • Umm, actually it is Tre, and the description says they are playing in Daylo Abortions drummer Jesus Bonehead's basement.

  • @fireninja242 I Know its not tre, but actually looks like him

  • @Larousse1995 - Sorry, as I shot the vid, I tell you that it is, indisputably Tre Cool. This Billy Joe, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt, 1 year before playing Woodstock.

  • @sonicvisionmedia ??? thought someone said it was kiffenmeyer

  • @Larousse1995 people say all sorts of things, in this case, they are Wrong.

  • @sonicvisionmedia haha ok my bad, pretty legit that you met the band as kids

  • @MoldyPeacemaker that was not tre that was john

  • i was born this year xD..

  • me too :)

  • me too !

    they're the best

  • woot i was 4 days old!

  • Ouch! I banged my head on the lyric sheet!

Why bother with a lyric sheet anyhow, can't hear the vocals.

  • I think that's a setlist.

  • yeah the sound's terrible, oh by the way, it's not a lyrics sheet, it's the setlist sheet

  • Holy crap, this show was the same year i was born.

    I would've been 6 months old.

  • Cool good quality :D

  • uuuu, estos manes son grandiosos, desde el comienzo lo son.

y que toke tan espectacular, gran canción.

el dia anterior habia cumplido 2 años de vida.

  • uuuu, these are great man, from the beginning what they are.and so spectacular, great song.

The day before I'd completed 2 years of life.

  • Really great video. Thanks so much for taking the trouble to put this up.

  • Where in the world did you get this video? Were you at this "concert"?

  • Yes, I was there, I shot the video.

  • Beacon Hill park? how did I miss this? could this happen again? two basements?

2009: can I take a photo of your basement ? Green Day played there

owner of house:Honey there is a strange person here asking strange questions!

  • bullshit!

  • what, you don't believe fact?

  • why would they play in your basement?

    what country!??

  • It wasn't my basement, it was, if you read the full video description, in the basement of my friend Jesus Bonehead (drummer for the real punk band Dayglo Abortions - see their vids post here and elsewhere) basement at the time, in Victoria BC Canada. Why? Because when bands are starting out that's what they do, they play wherever they can, where people want to see them. If you don't know this, then get off your couch and get out and find where the real deal is,

  • It's strange that you can't really hear Billy's vocals on most of this, but you can hear them much better when he sings Pasalacqua at this same "gig". I wonder why?

  • At concerts there often can be 'technical issues', in this case the PA (for vocals) was not working, that's why on the one song you can hear them an on the other you can't. That's rock and roll.

  • sods law

  • I wish i could've been around for the old Green day. I wasn't even born yet and they were already full blown rockers.

  • they used to be so good.

  • It's a basement show with a barrier! Am I the only one who finds this hilarious?? They are preparing for stadium stardom!

  • Actually the barrier was used for all shows at this 'venue'. Many bands played there, most much more hardcore than GD. It was needed as a way to divide the band and the audience in such cramped quarters. Otherwise it would have been (more) difficult for the bands to play at all.

  • this is gilman street?

  • No, it's in the basement of a house in Victoria, BC, Canada. The house at the time belonged to the drummer, Jesus Bonehead, of the Dayglo Abortions.

Green Day played in at least 2 basements in Victoria, as well as a free concert in the main park (Beacon Hill, near 'Mile 0'). Good times.

  • damn....and all this time ..i could have invited him to my house

  • This is one of my all time fave tracks....this made the hairs on my neck stand up! :)

  • Nice!

  • oh man i wish u coulda got better shots of billie and i wish i could hear him cuz i rilly cant in this video, sweet footage anyway

  • really ??? omg you're so lucky ! i wish i could have been on an early show of them :(

  • I know the feeling - I always wished I could have seen The Who when they were playing small clubs in their early days. Guess it evened out seeing GD, Nirvana, and RHCP in small venues.

    Live in the moment.

  • You only have two vids of them? =(

    I WANT MORE!!! lol

  • I'd give my left nut to see Green Day live back in 1992

  • great small club like a punk show

  • yeah, it's in the basement of punk rock legend's The Dayglo Abortions drummer. Good times.

  • where did you get this ?

  • um, I shot it.

  • omg that's not only damn cool billie also looks totally sweet in this vid. :)

  • i love the dance at 3:36 =)

  • havent you ever heard of evolveing?

  • they made the punk genre so proud before. now they are just bastards who fucking sold out... even the shitty retardos in my school in malaysia are singing songs from them

  • just because dumbasses are singing their songs it doesnt mean they sold out

  • shut the f&*k up you d%#k....(it wouldn't post it when i actually said the stuff)

  • If alot of people are covering their songs, it generally means their music is good

  • Okay so they changed! What the hell is wrong with change? Everyone changes with time and of course they are all older now so thier views on life and all other things have changed too! Who can't give out to them for growing up, you can't stay the same forever!

  • i love it, but i wish i could actually hear them singing. but it's a great example of their music score! <3

  • GAY. LONG LIVE DAYGLO ABORTIONS.

  • shut up. if you don't like them, don't watch their stuff and then talk shit about it.

  • amazing

  • Great video! These early shows where they would play in just about any venue shows how dedicated they are. Plus their first 2 albums put american idiot to shame.

  • nice time!!!

  • any luck on that video graham , please get back to me I would love to see it thanx Reido?

  • 92 =O Yo aún no nacía =x

Exelente video; Awante Green Day!! ;D

  • Awesome performance! =)

  • mike looks awesome here .

  • he was pretty cool, they were all friendly guys. Great shows.

  • yeah , :) have u met them ?

  • Just when filming this video. They were chatty, and very personable. Hard to imagine that a year later they were playing to hundreds of thousands at Woodstock.

  • awesome ! i would love to talk with them. :)

  • your so lucky

  • Wow, basement shows looked the same back then as they do now. Even if it's Green Day...

  • Wow, awesome video to watch thanks so much for posting. To me it looks like Gary Brainless' basement. If they played at the bandshell earlier the same day, the this gig would be from August '91 if my memory serves me correctly. What a surprise to see Jordan Clark banging his head in front of the band!

  • Thanks. This is actually Bonehead's basement, on North Park. October 6, 1992 according to my tape info. I saw them at the bandshell too but my memory fails me now on the chronology of all the gigs (I saw them in 2 basements, this one and I think the other was on Hillside). Missed them at Brainless's and someone else posted that they also did Harpo's but I don't recall that though I saw a lot of other great bands there.

  • I was at the bandshell gig - great day. A Month later I was in Japan and suddenly they were huge - I can still remember hearing them being blasted over the speakers at some department store and thinking WTF. So many familiar faces in the crowd. :) Thanks for posting.

  • YAY!!! Video proof of Green Day when they played before Dookie came out, they also played at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park earlier that day, but ya think they'll ever play Victoria, BC Canada again?!?

  • That's fucking awesome! where did you get this vid from?

  • I shot it, in a friends basement here in Victoria BC Canada.

  • omg, that's a GREAT video! luv this song, best 1030/SOSH lyrics

thanks a lot for posting it :D
