  • great job pal, and is funny the final with the heart machine!

  • how do you calculate what weight to use to meet your weight ratio?

  • @SweatStudio

    How tall are you?

  • Nice job. You gotta eat more though, man.

  • Well done! Seems a tough routine!!

  • rofl at the AED good to see you have some humour left after doing that workout haha:) I would still do the full deadlift weight even though it will hurt like hell! 100lbs is way too light for deadlift, I agree that the 100lbs is probably right for the floor wipes as your body weight is lighter so you have less of an anchor on the floor and the bar will probably topple over. Goodluck keep at it!

ps does anybody know what time the main actors in 300 did this workout in?

  • @rossgeldenhuys1 Yeah I can probably do 135lbs 50 reps now, but that's brutal for someone to deadlift near their body weight 50 times.

  • how long did it take you? good effort for first try

  • @MrDenbrun first attempt took 37minutes.

  • Great Video man, end made me lol heaps, just playin :D haha. Very strong man, well done.

  • that 19" jump should've been higher, surely?

  • Hahaha loved the AED

  • I started off doing lighter weights to get used to the movements, and now am using the full 60kg BB, 16kg KB and 2ft Box. I have my time down from 30min 42sec to 27min 44sec. I do all my deadlifts and pull ups to full ROM, and 1:0:2 timing. Currently 201lbs, 6ft 2in.

Have you given it a go on the full weights yet?

  • That's awesome progress. I can do the full weights but it takes me over an hour. I'm practically dead lifting my body weight so it makes it tough.

  • @AdamSergeantPT do you know your weight in kg? iv started deadlifts not to long ago. whats your normal weight and reps for deadlift set?

  • Well, the 19" mod shouldn't have really happened, if anything the 19" would be for THEM cuz they're so damn much heavier. You had some spring, you should have done 24.

lol at the guy who thought you didn't warm up!

    lol at the AED.

  • Thanks for the comments. I'll do the full 24" next time.

  • another good work out is the "50" workout same sorta thing , really brutal also!

  • you weigh 143lbs?

  • i usually do it in 30 min.....but for me, its impossible to do 50 deadlifts in a row.....i have to pause every 15......

  • u started the training without warm up and stretching? disasterous...nice try though..keep up...

  • of course I warmed up and stretched for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • @sweatstudio thx for the input skydiver, where are your videos? :S

  • your really not using you legs on the kettle bell clean and jerk. well a little but you need to use more

  • it seems like u need to do sum cardio exercises u should b way more cut up if u can handle all that

  • That is cardio! Have you tried it? I think diet might be the problem. The way I look at it is if you expect your body to look and perform like a high performance sports car, then don't put low grade gas in it.

  • dont get the same benefits from the results if u do the reps as fast as that though

  • Yeah, pulls ups are such a controversy these days, it you look at how Crossfitters do pull ups the kipping style is very fast and looks sloppy. I've done slow discipline pull ups in the past but so many people ark kipping these days I'm not sure which way I should go.

  • It's fine if you kip, but try to at least go to a dead hang with the pull ups (arms fully extended from the start position).

  • Nice video! I am a Crossfitter and can do both type of pullups, but I usually kip them just because, when done right(expolode from the bottom and expolde back off the top), then they result in a more dynamic athletic ability. A lot of guys here will tell you kipping is cheating and a waste of time. I have 27 years of experience that says diffrently.

  • Glad you liked my old video, I have a few friends that are Crossfitters and I kip when I want to work fast twitch fibers. It's true in will make you more dynamic. However, I'm training a client that is trying to get into the Navy Seals. They will NOT allow kipping or vigorous movement in the pull ups, so we've chosen to do disciplined form from now on. Thanks for the comment.

  • slow down, cut your reps of each workout in half, work on form and endurance to build a strong base, then slowly increase. your going to hurt yourself and you cant even do 8 pullups in the end. so take my advice...

  • thanks for your comment. It's been about 5 months since I posted that video, and that was my first attempt. So, now I do the entire 300 Spartan with better form, and heavier weight. I weigh only 138 lbs now and I deadlift 50 reps @135 lbs. I do discipline pull ups rather than the Cross Fit kipping style, If I kip, I can push out 40 + pull ups non-stop easily. I'll put up the new video soon. So, if you have video I would like to see your 300 Spartan workout too. Thanks.

  • Good effort. It seems like the 'flutter kick' pull ups would take away the emphasis on your arms. Looks like fun though

  • nice. i want to be able to do this one day. current do my body weight deadlift for 8 reps, 4 sets. i weigh 80kg. and i can only do 1 pull up : (.

it must have took a good few years of heavy lifting before you were fit/strong enough to do this?

  • Thanks for the response. The pull ups are always the toughest. If you lift heavy for a few months with heavy Lat Pull Downs also gain a few pounds of muscle, then drop 5 to 10 pounds of fat afterwards then the pull ups are so much easier.

  • you say that you weigh 140 pounds? how tall are you about 4'5

  • funny. I'm 5'4"

  • the ending was the funniest thing ever...i lol'd when you pulled out the first aid!

  • More like Halo UNSC Spartan II Training Workout. That was epic.

  • thanks for the comment, I need to check out the UNSC Spartan 2 workout, do you have footage?

  • Lol it was a Halo reference. All the supersoldiers go through this training where most of them die.

  • Haha man good job you have great energy and a great sense of humor!

  • i cant even do 50 pushups man... im not an endurance type of guy im more of the max weight/tire easy type of guy heh... good job though man, that was a really good workout

  • Thanks man. I know what you mean, I use to be a low rep, heavy lifter a few years back. So I had to sacrifice some size to be able to do all these reps. Eventually I will go back to heavy lifting because I still love it. Thanks for the comment.

  • I was getting tired just watching.

  • Looks brutal, I think I'd puke

  • That's a tough workout... its not only made for 200 lbs men, its made for men who are already VERY fit... I tell any recreational exerciser they should do 50 push-ups or 25 pull-ups (no rest), they'll just laugh it off and walk away.

    Nice clip to. Good work!

  • Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I agree just 25 pull ups is tough for many. It took me 32 minutes to do the routine the first time, so it was a little sad, but I'm glad I made it.
