@anavidhunter Yeah, I didn't really care for the caliber she was using either. She was using a mini-30 chambered in 7.62 x 39... a cool looking gun and really fun to shoot, but we have had trouble using the weapon for deer, even with perfectly placed shots like Paytons (I still can't believe she hit it on the move - did you see that group!). We're back to the .243 now and everything is working great! Thanks for watching and for the post.
I know that Deer and other creatures can be like humans in that some drop from the slightest blow while others you could smoke them with a tremendous force and they take it like they are the toughest thing ever.

Hinting helps manage wildlife populations and pays for almost all conservation money! Because of hunters, we still have animals like the whitetail deer & wild turkey around today... without hunting; they would have vanished long ago. What do you have against animals anyway? What caliber was she shooting? My daughter shoots a 22-250. Some great shooting there, especially the 2nd shot. Nice group! I shot my 1st deer 3 times too!
She used a mini-30 on this one - 7.62 x 39, but she just shot a couple in PA. this year with the 22-250. I don't trust the bullet size so we neck shoot em' and they go right in a pile. Payton shot a standing doe at 360 yards then a buck on full tilt run at just over 500!
I also took a doe with the 22-250, head shot while it was feeding to us; from 150 yards the bullet passed thru the skull, the spine, the entire deer and exited about 1" high and 2" right from dead center in the buttocks. First time I ever passed through a deer (the long way) and I was impressed. We burn holes thru 3/8" steel targets at 300 yards! It is a nice gun, but aren't they all. Thanks for watching.

It's really reasonable and the adventure is awesome. Price usually goes by antler size, but they all eat the same. It's comparable (actualy cheaper) to staying at a great (farm) bed and breakfast, at the the most beautiful Country side location, with awesome meals and service; then paying for the farmer cow (if you can find a farmer to let you stay with his family). The meat is better for you too.
Started hunting when she was (7), but this video is of her first harvest when she was (11) years old. She has already evolved into a fine huntress and she is a better shot than I am!
I told her she has to stop shooting all the big ones or she will need to find a new huntin' partner (making me look bad).
Disgusting. Especially when the blood was put on her face.
