I love God and all of my neighbors but I was a victim of legalism with the Chicago Church of Christ and how am I to be "forgiving" when their actions literally cost me my happiness in this life and almost caused me to act in a drastic fashion because they brainwashed my girlfriend to follow in their hippocritical legalistic way ....
Isn't Jesus the law (word) made flesh. Does this mean He hates himself? Jesus made the law more in depth and not the opposite. He said that if you even look at a woman with lust, you have broken a law. He also said that anyone that breaks even one of the smallest of the laws and teaches another to do the same will be the least in the kingdom of heaven. Loving God and your neighbor encompass all of the laws.
