Why dont you - meaning the reasonable U.S. citizens who behave rationally and do not take Sarah Palin & Co. seriously - let or make the states like Alabama, Mississipi & Co. secede like they planned to to in the years up to 1861? That would get you more or less decent people elected and you would have a better economy, since all the really important stuff is invented and produced in states different from the ones that seceded?
