the original was so much better. Just because you amp the volume on something add more electric guitars with the usual predictable lead solo. Growl a bit and try and look hip doeasnt mean its better. They made it more of a jam which is all right but very typical
@celeste3100 Classics IV had a hit with it in the sixties, then ARS (with some of the same members as the earlier band) re-recorded it in the seventies.
RIP Ronnie....one of the best singers south of the Mason Dixon! Saw them way back in 82 and they blew Marshall Tucker right off......When Doug Gray invited Ronnie out to sing Marshall Tucker tunes...it was something I wish I could hear again....it was flat out awesome....and nothing but a down home party....in the great northwest in Seattle......imagine Ronnie singing Can't you see?
Cobb, Nix and Daughtry in the Classics IV later joined ARS and re-recorded this song which was written by Classics IV saxophonist Mike Sharpe (Shapiro) and Harry Middlebrooks, Jr.
i moved across the country. left storage units w/ stuff...& somehow this tape that's right a cassette tape fell out of something 25 years later ( i listened to this in high school...) how 's that for spooky...i can still play it, too, but this was cool...thx.

ARS is truly awesome, but the Classics IV version is better. Saying that without taking anything from ARS.

@tyme4mike I'm sure saying that takes nothing away from ARS, as 2 of their members and producer were members of the Classics IV.

@brianph62 Right on. I just enjoy the Classics' version better. Otherwise, they're both awesome.

It's not rare. It's taken from the album ARS '96.
