i think the reason something like this is so remarkable is because male chimps dont really have anything to do with the babies. especially ones they dont know. a normal male chimp wouldve killed Oscar instead of adopting him.

People these are APES not MONKEYS. Monkeys have tails, greater apes do not. Proof: look in the mirror, we have no tail.

This looks incredible. The best one to date so far. I will be there opening day, no question. Thanks Disney for opening peoples eyes to these highly intelligent and emotionally complex animals. Most of them are much more "human" than some of the monsters who call themselves people. For those who don't watch wildlife docs normally, like the incredible BBC stuff, this will be an eye opener. Yet still only scratches the surface of what the Great Apes are really capable of.
