Get this, North Vietnam still have 350,000 MIA's. That is not including the 1.6 million uniformed dead NVA or the 3 million dead militia or the 3 million dead civilians. During the war the communist party never told the people the true losses, they only told the truth after 1996. Millions of families don't have a grave or even know where their loved ones are buried. Millions are unknown graves mouldering in the jungles of Laos, South Vietnam and Cambodia.

We exchanged prisoners, furled our flags and went home. 1975 North Vietnam broke that treaty and attacked the South. No US military assets were in country period. The South was not originally part of Vietnam it belonged to the Khmer, the Viets conquered it after having been granted amnesty by the Khmer to live in their land. Non communist/nationalist members were expelled from the DRV and fled south to join Dai. After the French reoccupied Hanoi, they named Bao dai head of govt and referred to the Indo China satellite as "The State of Vietnam". Ho and Giap then went to war against the French!.

In 10 years of war there were only 35 cases of illegal kills in Vietnam by US soldiers. NVA killed 5 million civilians with terror and horror in order to defeat the South. US troops fought honorably and fought well. We killed 1.4 million NVA soldiers in war and lost 50,000. We killed 3 million communist civilian militia. Fuck Ellsberg the pussy.

@ctenar1970 That's just it, we feel no pain nor humiliation, the Vietnam war is long over and Vietnam is nothing in our national register, it isn't even a blip on the radar screen, if anything we like to get together and reminisce about things. Even at the VA hospital when we run into other vets from our time we rarely bring up the Vietnam war, it just doesn't matter to us anymore. Some Vets go over to Vietnam to help find graves or over their battle grounds.

Get this, North Vietnam still have 350,000 MIA's. That is not including the 1.6 million uniformed dead NVA or the 3 million dead militia or the 3 million dead civilians. During the war the communist party never told the people the true losses, they only told the truth after 1996. Millions of families don't have a grave or even know where their loved ones are buried. Millions are unknown graves mouldering in the jungles of Laos, South Vietnam and Cambodia.

There were no inocent North Vietnamese, women and children fought alonside their men in battle. That makes them legal kills. NVA used children as suicide bombers, women as mules on the Ho Chi Minh trail when they knew it likely that they would die. The took villagers and made them war against the South and against the Americans. I know how South Vietnamese ran to US and ARVN troops for protection from NVA/VC the people you think would have won the election. The fucking communist party was surprised when the people of South Vietnam refused to rebel and join the NVA/VC during the Tet offensive. Almost all VC cadre were killed 45,000 killed just over several months almost as many as US troops killed during 10 years of warfare.

We exchanged prisoners, furled our flags and went home. 1975 North Vietnam broke that treaty and attacked the South. No US military assets were in country period. @cheechnchongsbong Ho Chi Minh was a Soviet citizen. Ho studied in Moscow from 1925 to 1935 from there he went to Soviet embassy and China began his career of war. From 1845 to 1948 Ho worked for the French. Every Nationalist that was not part of his Soviet Communist Cadre that came to him, Ho turned over to the French and was handsomely paid. He only wanted Soviet communist Nationalists. It is you that is uneducated to the real facts. Stop embarassing yourself.

The South was not originally part of Vietnam it belonged to the Khmer, the Viets conquered it after having been granted amnesty by the Khmer to live in their land. The South was made up of millions of refugees from the North that did not wish to live under communism. It was made for the Vietnamese people.

Non communist/nationalist members were expelled from the DRV and fled south to join Dai. After the French reoccupied Hanoi, they named Bao dai head of govt and referred to the Indo China satellite as "The State of Vietnam". Ho and Giap then went to war against the French!.

In 10 years of war there were only 35 cases of illegal kills in Vietnam by US soldiers. NVA killed 5 million civilians with terror and horror in order to defeat the South. US troops fought honorably and fought well. We killed 1.4 million NVA soldiers in war and lost 50,000. We killed 3 million communist civilian militia. Fuck Ellsberg the pussy.

All wars have excesses but US troops on average behaved far better than the North Vietnamese troops towards the South Vietnamese people. No need in Nam to rape, women were for sale everywhere, cheap. I personally never saw any rape and most US troops were in base camp or the bush where there were no SVN civilians except at base camp working for US troops. We, the young boys drafted and sent to Viet Nam did not want to be there in that country that God would not even bless. We were just following the law and there was no college exit for us poor kids. The only reward Viet Nam vets received was that you came home alive and hopefully in one piece.
