Our 3rd floor apartment had a squirrel living in the ivy growing up the building. We got to know her, feeding her out the side window, and after she gave birth, she brought her kids to meet us. Cocky li'l beggar, tho'; I left the balcony door open one day and came home to find her gamely dragging a whole bag of peanuts across the kitchen floor! I shooed her out, and she still turned and struck her "got a peanut?" pose before she left. It was pretty cute.

squirrels where I live are extremely timid around people, you can never get close to them. They scamper away. But in the city, they're more curious because they know people = food. I always thought squirrels were really cute.
