  • could be on a normal bike.

  • so cool

  • wow all of that work and you have a little girls rim and tire on it.. classic

  • Umm what brakes you got on there? Hope they ain't normal bike brakes otherwise you're going to be road kill...

  • hey dude, that is sweet. u oughta put a video on how u made it.

  • @TheDEERSLAYER1997 there are 2 videos in my channel somewhere.

  • nice job mate just lean it out a tad.fuck the nay sayers. ;)

  • deos the spindle slide sometimes because its metal and it looks like it slides and doesnt that reduce speed

  • @seelder the first spindle did but the second didnt slide. the second had grooves along it.

  • nice bike ..top speed is....does it have a good amount of power

  • @gaspowerrules probably around 30kmh. ocassionaly i had to pedal but otherwise it was good,

  • @geoff390 kool im making a motorized bike soon

  • @geoff390 how long per liter?

  • @TheStealther not really sure about that. It wasnt bad maybe 10k/l i never did a test on that.

  • @geoff390 honestly. Thats bad. my scooter goes aprox 16 Km/l and it weighs over 100 kilo :/

  • @ThaTJuStSuXs Im building one using a 076, chain driven, 5 speed

  • @svencer00 the last time i said 2 stroke it was a typo it was supposed to be 4 stroke

  • @ThaTJuStSuXs yea but is it worth ripping apart a stihl to make a bike?

  • @geoff390 yea if u can find one cheap enough that still runs haha. nice job on ur bike btw

  • @geoff390 yes, if you don't need a chainsaw

  • wwhat cc?

  • this isnt america i dont think. this is an even fatter country.... AUSTRALIA!!!

  • Shh!! they don't know im coming

  • Lol yo blew the engine up at the end? :D atleast it sounded like it.

  • @Niko10989 Nah didnt even overheat or anything.

  • does the spindle rubbing on the tire chew it up?

looks like it would pop the tire after a while.

    but its a great idea

  • how fast

  • @MCgangsta11 around 30kph.

  • @geoff390 how did you get it so the peddels dont spid like crazy when the motor is on

  • @theboarman the back wheel has a kind of ratcheting mechanism. Same are when you roll down a hill the pedals dont move. Remember this isnt directly coupled to the sprocket.

  • @ipodwrestling not really there is another video that has some info on it.

  • Dude stupid all you have to do is hit the front brakes and this thing is slow

  • do you take it off of any sweet jumps

  • speed?? pls

  • OK, never mind my brake apply question from the other video...I forgot chainsaws have throttles and friction clutches...duh...cool little item!

  • @pawpawgator this didnt have the clutch on the saw. It had front brakes which were pretty strong.

  • do you just let it run or does it have a throttle?

  • @remurdereht yes it had a throttle.

  • 4 stroke is the way to go. 2.5 hp fits great on a bike.

  • @svencer00 and at all different angles, but nowadays some companies make 360 degree 4 strokes.

  • @svencer00 its actually not 2 stroke it uses a chainsaw motor and im pretty sure they dont make 2 stroke chainsaws

  • @bowdude21 chain saws r 2 stroke what r u a dumd ass

  • @svencer00 thats actually 2 stroke beacuase it uses a chainsaw motor i dont thing ive ever seen a 2 stroke chainsaw

  • @bowdude21 I thought pretty much every chainsaw was a two stroke

  • @TimpBizkit it is i made a typo and the second time i wrote 2 stroke it was supposed to be 4 stroke

  • That's freakin deadly man!!!!!!! I want to make one now..ha ha...

  • is it easy to make one

  • same motor im puttin on mine

  • @XxDarkEaglexX26 should be quite good. Just a hint the carby is attacted by a weak plastic manifold which on mine broke therefore i had to make a steel one.

  • @geoff390

lol it hasnt been started in 8-9 years and started 4th pull (my grandpa rebuilt the carb like 3 times) lol so its good

  • is there any were i can find plans for this please message me back

  • nope, just made it myself

  • sweet

  • whats the engine displacement

whats it like compared to a weedeater bike??

  • about 30cc. Its a chainsaw so its got more power.

  • 30cc?? thats pretty small for a chainsaw, it must have been like a 14'' bar or sumn

  • Yea it was quite small/

  • shits fast

  • yeah definately go chain drive. im putting up a video of the bike i put a chainsaw motor on but i went all out and refab'd the frame and mounted it up like a motorcycle with a 20" 7 speed wheel so i didn't over torque the engine

  • sweet as.

  • 40 dont believe.

  • A guy from Belgium made one that goes 67km/h

  • yea but no low end to be found

  • it actually had a fair bit of low power

  • @geoff390 oh i was talking to rubenenzo

about a guy who used the clutch bell

as a spindle. i wasnt talking about urs

  • ahk the youtube comment thing is stupid.

I have seen that done and the bell just gets sand and shit in there so it wears out very fast.

  • that thing sounds goooooood

  • If you have the chance, you should definitely make it chaindrive. Spindle or friction drive robs power

  • How fast is it?

  • about 30-40kmh

  • i hav a 50cc 2 stroke on a mountain bike!! it busts 27.4 mph on a flat! its also street legal!! cool bike tho

  • sweet as get a video up!

  • haha im hot

  • im quite hot too whats the temperature :P

  • hha wow thats soo cool i wish i could make one!!

  • sounds cool

  • Awsome man!!!

  • america cant get much lazier than this . . .

  • Yea i agree but im Australian............

  • oh well . . . i live in america and i see the fatasses first hand . . . at the walmart by my house they had to make the isles twice as wide so the fat ppl on the little scooters could get around. . . . its pathetic

  • haha

  • @foxwright Agreed. Though, those scooters weren't made for fat lazy people, they're made for the walking disabled.

  • @foxwright So the isles are wider. Big deal! It doesn't hurt anybody. You'll live.

  • @foxwright this is not laziness its just recreation

  • @foxwright so everyone who drives a car is lazy?

  • @fairyheli2 to an extent yes. . . but in this case its someone taking something that is suposed to be man powered and flipping it. . . sorry to say it but fred flinstone cars never existed

  • @foxwright so motorbikes and mopeds are lazy then?? they were originally bikes with small motors

  • @foxwright funny thing is these guys arent from america if you notice he said its around 30kph..americans dont use kilometers

  • @foxwright actually he did this to learn... not to be lazy. This a very ideal and neat invention that even I have done. A 100cc motor. It's something every teen has to do.

  • @myautofarm1 a bike is a machine that increases mechanical resistance. moving the throttle doesnt count. build a go-cart its more respectable than taking an exersise machine and lazying it up

  • nice idea and glad too see it works :)

  • Takes off pretty good. You need to find an expansion chamber for it.

  • I've got a promac 320 and I was wondering how you put the bike chain on the chainsaw

    thanks

  • the chainsaw has a spindle and no chain attached

  • nice

  • it fourstrokes

  • meaning? this was an un tuned run.

  • how do you stop if the chain saw is wedged against the wheel

  • the brakes and a kill switch.... even if i gave it full throttle the brakes were much stronger.

  • XD awsome dude =0

  • what a bomb

  • cool man thanks ima weld grips onto the spendil see how good it works ima use it on dirt mostly see what it does thanks for the pointers

  • how many ccs is the engine

  • about 30

  • sohow fast u think a 46cc will go

  • depends on gearing but probably a bit faster with more power for the hills.

  • Do you have a clutch on the engine or is the spindle attatched directly to the fly wheel? Because I have a weedeater engine without a clutch, and I wanted to know if when i start it will the flywheel spin without giving it gas.

    thanks

  • directyle onto the flywheel, no clutch. No as soon as the flywheel spins the engine will recieve petrol

  • actually, BMX handlebars. if you were here in Chicago I know a place who would let you make it into a chopper free lol...good work.

  • you should put ape hangers on it xP

  • nice

  • ill make one out of a leaf blower an a bike lol

  • AWSOME!!! :D LIKE MOPED :DD

  • does that have a clutch? i didn't see one in your other video

  • of course i hasn't, the motion is direct from the motor there are no gears...

  • What an awsome bike. Wish I had the skill to build one.

  • very nice but what did you use for the throttle i have been told you can use a brake handle from a bike but i dont know how to extend the throttle cable on my weedeater to do it any suggestions? please send me a message

  • have a look at the video chainsaw bike tips. its should help. I did use a brake handle.

  • any idea how to make one of these but with a lawn mower engine?

  • With a lawn mower engine you would want it to use chain drive, i think theres a few made on youtube. Also have you been to tzi scooterworld they have lots of good info.

  • ok thanks man. and also whats a chain drive and do you think it would be easier to make a chainsaw bike or lawnmower bike?

  • chain drive is where you connect a chain to the engine and run it directly to the back wheel. Mine is spindle drive.

A lawnmower is a lot heavier than a chainsaw and doesnt reallyrev as high. Id be looking for a chainsaw about 50ccs

  • k thanks and would it matter if the chainsaw were electric or gas?

  • hello how many cc is the chainsaw engine?

    cheers mate

  • its about 30cc

  • meh comment deleted and your blocked.

  • lol

  • Jump it!

  • haha naaa

  • how much hp? l

  • probable about 2

  • How do I tune it?

  • the standard is all the way in and 1.5 turns out for the hi/lo mix screws.

  • Does it have to be tuned?

  • Yea as the engines wear it will need to be tuned. and also the screw might come loosee is another reaason.

  • cool

  • chainsaw bike lol sounds scary

  • ya it dont work

  • can u try it and send me the vid so i can see !

  • Do the videos on your computer not work or something.

  • can u put an engine like that on a tricycle?

  • I suppose so

  • how much you spend on it??? and how fast does it get?? in how much did you make that? damn i really need summer then i would make it.Tuning and all that shit...Yeah..

  • Umm i didnt spend any on it apart from small items such as fuel lines, hands grips etc... i found the engine and bike. About 30kph. I mounted the engine on the bike on one weekend but it took a while because i needed to make other parts (spindle) and or gaskets.

  • how many cubic centimeters?

  • doesnt it get hot?

  • hotter than if it the covers but its got a richer mixture to help keep it cooler.

  • i got a mountain bike that im trying to make into a chainsaw bike im make the setup you have on yours but i was wondering what did you use for a drive spindle and how did you mount it? does the shaft on the motor have a keyway? the motor i have is a mcculloch idk the model tho. would a bicycle peg work for a spindle??

  • My spindle is a piece of steel which had grooves machined parallel to the length of it.

It is held on the motor by the reverse nut that held on the clutch, all i did to the spindle was to make a hole down the centre. there is no keyway on the shaft.

Bicycle pegs have been used in the past, what you need to do is make sure the thread in the bicycle peg is smaller than the chainsaw shaft. That way you can drill it out to a neat fit over the shaft.

    Hope this all makes sense!

  • congrats on your gasoline powered bike. You have inspired me to start gathering parts. But im going for a bigger, softer seat so my 63 yr.old fanny can take the wear and tear.Good luck with yours,The bike I mean! Stumpnocker9

  • haha thanks. i hope yours bike goes well. send me a video when your done i love seeing peoples creations.

  • what motor

  • mcculloch promac 320

  • i got the scar when the peg broke off the engine and screwed up the back wheel sending me over the bars breaking the forks and the engine. but i'm now going to make chopper forks from the bike and put on a new engine. i hope it works =]

  • i have just tried it with my old chainsaw engine, goes 36kmh and ive got the scars to prove it

  • Unlucky, iv been pretty lucky and havnt fallen off. Post up a video of your bike.

  • Hey fantastic job!! ive got a bigger bike in my garage ive been trying to put a chainsaw onto for 2 years (on/off) im on version 3 now and finally done what you have which is drive it to a spindle direct onto the weel. I spent ages building over-complicated gearboxes to reduce final drive ratio- only to decide keep it simple - driving to the wheel itself is a great way to reduce RPM down.. nice one 5*

  • Thanks, often the simple solutions are the best.

  • so if i mounted a little chainsaw motor and ran the chain directly to the wheel cog would it have enohg touque to moove me(if i have the right ratios)

  • Yes but you would need the correct ratio. With a 16inch wheel you would need a ratio of atleast 16:1 to get enough power.

  • hey how long did it take u to do that

  • it took a weekend to mount the engine but then i had some problems. I had to order parts Etc. so maybe a month. If i didnt need to order parts maybe a week or so i dunno.

  • I've been meaning to do this for awhile, I have a bike that looks like a real harley. Shit, I want to do it like yours.

  • All you need is a stick welder and a bike peg.

  • can u use any type of chainsaw????

  • That thing must be a beast on gas.

  • they get like 100 mpg lol

  • Lol ok nvm...

  • the frame

  • The frame is strong

  • Nice design! But there is a problem: when you stop, the engine will stop too. Will you put a clutch on it?

  • That is a problem but once the engine is warm and you have had it running for a while it starts really easily. I dont plan on putting a clutch on it.

  • thats awsome but make the bike stronger

  • What do you mean "make the bike stronger"?

  • thats pretty cool

  • ya know, that's so freakin cool, I wanna do that and travel across the U.S. on on a chainsaw, I'll bet there is no guiness world record for that. Rock on Chainsaw bike dude.
