@Don786k Yes. Even the american ones are scripted. In fact Indian Idol and India's got talent etc are all extensions of a big franchise that started in Britain and now spread in many countries. And it is scripted all over. Many contestants already post their applications by sending their videos, and if found good, they set things up with them. This is the most imp difference between indian idol and traditional singing competitions. Other difference being that people are judges.
