Harry Enfield told the really funny story of how he invented these characters.
He was at Wembley for the 1988 FA Cup final (Liverpool - Wimbledon).
A liverpool fan came up to him and said "Hey, Harry, I love you, I think you're great, you're fuckin lovely, have you got a ticket?"
