i use this shot frquently when playing low balls running shots and high balls... this is really effective in running shots for me, i can pound the ball harder than my normal forehand!

she should use her backhand frequently. her backhand is perfect . she's natural left handed person she should use it often to avoid problem in her right shoulder for the meantime,while she is still rehabilitating her right shoulder.

Amazing how she can keep doing it too. I also use the reverse forehand (eastern), but only when i'm under pressure or when i know when i'm finishing a point. Is she using a semiwestern grip when hitting it? Cuz if she is, how the hell does she get so much power, unlike the eastern forehand?

Yes, it is effective, but she uses too much of her forearm, rather than shoulder and upper arm rotation. It is a poor shot technically, but hey, it seems to work.

well i dont think the injury comes true the forehand motion.... her groundstrokes were fine in that injury time.... it was just the serve motion that made her shoulder injury i think..... i also think it was a bit mental.....

The reason why she follows through like that, over her head, is because she's so tall so she has to lift the ball a bit more. That's why she swings higher. She still moves into her shot really good. That's why she hits so hard.

Her backhand is her best shot, obviously. I just wish she would she wouldn't follow through so high and would just finish across her chest. At least if she's going to finish high, hit some topspin, because she her forehand always finishes high, but it's still flat as pancake.
