@ThinkFox they are scupltured from the top down, the lower levels being wider. some have to have metal rods thru the sand block to make them stable. many do break over the duration of the exhibition though. some can be repaired and some can't. the exhibition goes aprox 3 months so some damage happens in that time.

@incredingo Susanne Ruseler out of Netherlands sculpted a piece called "Flea circus" in recent exhibition out in Australia.
All the sculptures were great, but Flea Circus topped them all...it was STUNNING!
