I think she could have made the series longer because at the end of the fourth book elena is a human again but stephan is still a vampire soooo elena would still age and stephan wouldn't. and then what happens to Damon.and what does elena do after that? does she stay in fells church (don't remember name of town) does she talk to her aunt again? ahhhhh theres so many questions in my head. but very good series.

i don't think stephenie meyer ripped of v-diaries because she started twilight when she had a dream and the dream was about the meadow scene in twilight so she wrote a book about it. so i really dont think she copied even tho there are alot of similiarities

Its got 9 books (1 still to come) and its about vampires, witches, werewolves, shapeshifters and old souls.Theyre all members of the Night World but they are forbidden to tell humans about the night world and are not allowed to fall in love with a human, but ofcourse these rules get broken cos in each book one finds their soulmate. But its really good cos they all interlink! You shoud also try 'The Secret Circle', 'Dark Visions' and 'Forbidden game' by Lisa Smith

Hey just to echo the words of randyrudolph, I totally recommend the Night World, but if you liked the Vampire Diaries definitely try to get your hands on a copy of the Secret Circle trilogy (it's a similar vibe, but with hereditary witches), I personally favor those as much as the Vampire Diaries.
