Ye I was also there. First time I ever experience a GnR concert. Thanks to the superb talents of Slash, they remained superb. Whereas Axl has always remained a "Dick". But sorry, they were never a match for Iron Maiden.

Cunt, they were trying to sort it out. After the Iron Maiden fireworks they announced that two people had been killed and to take it easy on the way out. You never heard 100 thousand people so quiet. Like a silent army.

I was there , I was 16 and had been completely pissed ( drunk ) earlier in the day . I was sobering up when GnR came on and I remember seeing the crowd surging a couple of times, wasn't till later I heard 2 guys were dead . biggest crowd ever at donington I think. 107,000 people . One of the craziest days Ive ever had . When you look at festivals and outdoor concerts nowadays they have lots of different stages so the crowd gets divided between them but this was 107.000 people and one stage .
