Good vid bro. I had originally predicted Manny by 11th rnd tko. I, like most...was suprised by the quick ending. Hatton didn't do anything Mayweather Sr. had showed him in camp. He resorted to fighting his old ways by coming in wide open with his hands down. Manny followed the fight plan of Mayweather Jr. and countered him to perfection. So to say " Hatton left everything in the ring " that night is a bit off. He looked so amateurish that night. I laughed when Manny said it was an easy fight.
s the ref stopped it, technical knock out, where as if the ref tried to count to 10 and called a ko, and ricky hatton died or had brain damage, the ref would have been screwed and even banned, its the refs job just as much as the corner men and docters for the safety of fighters.
when hatton fell the ref looked for about 3 second and knew the fight was over, he couldnt afford to be seen making a 10count.
That is also the reason why De la hoya doesn't use his jobs more often. Its not just that he is over the hill, but he just cant keep his rythm especially for a southpaw that uses bobbing and weaving of head to evade those jabs.
Havent you noticed that there is more weaving of head in Pac-Dela hoya fight than Pac-Hatton, thats because they know Hatton doesnt do those jabs more often.
You know what, it easier for you to say that a boxer must keep the jabs up to neutralize a faster opponent, and you are RIGHT, if and only if his opponent is a RIGHT hand fighter.
To deal with a southpaw takes an orthodox fighter's rythm/timing away, and to deal with a southpaw which is very quick and agile is another story, so dont just say Hatton must keep his jabs up for him to neutralize Pacman, it also about timing and rythm.

Good vid bro. I had originally predicted Manny by 11th rnd tko. I, like most...was suprised by the quick ending. Hatton didn't do anything Mayweather Sr. had showed him in camp. He resorted to fighting his old ways by coming in wide open with his hands down. Manny followed the fight plan of Mayweather Jr. and countered him to perfection. So to say " Hatton left everything in the ring " that night is a bit off. He looked so amateurish that night. I laughed when Manny said it was an easy fight.

s the ref stopped it, technical knock out, where as if the ref tried to count to 10 and called a ko, and ricky hatton died or had brain damage, the ref would have been screwed and even banned, its the refs job just as much as the corner men and docters for the safety of fighters.
when hatton fell the ref looked for about 3 second and knew the fight was over, he couldnt afford to be seen making a 10count.

You know what, it easier for you to say that a boxer must keep the jabs up to neutralize a faster opponent, and you are RIGHT, if and only if his opponent is a RIGHT hand fighter.
To deal with a southpaw takes an orthodox fighter's rythm/timing away, and to deal with a southpaw which is very quick and agile is another story, so dont just say Hatton must keep his jabs up for him to neutralize Pacman, it also about timing and rythm.

Timothy Bradley would be a great candidate for a tune up fight against Manny Pacquiao, I know the name is not well known but he has a belt in the jr. welter devision and Pacquiao could add that to his collection. A Chavez jr. fight for a tune up wouldn't make sence but would make money. Mayweather vs. Marquez for a fight would be boring of a fight to see, two counter punchers in the ring wouldn't be to exciting

all the critics and the people that think they know boxing said Manny Pacquiao couldn't beat Barrera, Morales, Diaz, Marquez, De La Hoya. Pacquiao has alwayz been the underdawg! ahh yea, zab judah and ricky hatton would be a good fight and a chance for one of them to make a comeback. but I dont think it'll be good for the box office.
but this fight is just wow. pacquiao looked great while hatton not so much. his hands were low and jabs were next to useless. and he kept coming forward with and exposed chin. not a good fight for hatton. pacquiao is just an overall better fighter. i had pac winning by the 6th round, but 2nd? only freddy roach can predict that.

For some strange reason I really need to see Pacquiao VS Cotto. I want to see Pacquiao VS Mayweather, but Pacquiao would take it for sure. Pacquiao VS Cotto seems just as, if not more, competitive. Look at the helluva fight Cotto put up against a bigger man with bricks in his gloves (Margarito). Cotto's only loss was a 2008 FOTY candidate against a more-than-likely boxer that cheated. I gained respect for Cotto despite him taking a knee. That was one helluva fight.
