The last time I saw Levon play in person was at the county fair in Marvell, Arkansas; ~1956. His sister, Linda (a genuinely beautiful girl) accompanied him on base (a #2 washtub, mop handle and twine).
@voxmic48 not that old, my brother could do it so will, and i,m only 52, he,s 54. only a few know about this. them was the good old days. peace and love.
@TheTrigger900 Cool. Yep, not many know about it. By "old-time", what I meant was, I believe the hambone thing was first developed back in the 19th century, in the South.
@voxmic48 its been around quit along time, i think our black freinds made it up , people had nothing else to play, if you loue music , you,ll find a way, 1800,s till today.love AND PEASE, my music FRENID
I love the way Larry Williams ( the songwriter) worked the titles of all those old 1950's hits into the lyrics--Fever; Honky-Tonk; Tutti-Frutti; Blue Suede Shoes--all the old tracks.
One of a kind voice! Love it>>>>

I love how Levon subtly looks over towards Max when he mentions Elvis coming back with D.J. Fontana on drums :)

@Campbell88guitar That was a little taste of what they used to call "the hambone" -- some very old-time stuff.
