We know English before we learn it at school cuz we watch tv-series in English with Dutch subtitles: hear the English words, read the translation. Also youtube helps alot to learn English, translating songs, watch episodes that haven't been shown here on the internet without subtitles, ...

And of course, we "learn" it at school (but actually we don't learn any new things in the first year :p)

I'm used to the english version, so I guess my view is biased :P Though I have to admit, I love how they include teenage issues like friendship, trust and romance (my favourite part!!) into the whole mystery, so I never get bored watching it and you can relate to SOME of the characters :) Love House of Anubis <3

While it's filmed in England, it was Nickelodeon USA who gave House of Anubis the greenlight. They chose the UK as a filming location because boarding schools are more of a European thing so they made the change that the "Nina" character is an American going to the British boarding school to give a greater reason for her being treated as an outsider as opposed to Het Huis Anubis where Nienke was just a new student.

And the woman who came with the idea of making house of anubis is also dutch so the orginal version is dutch/belgium.
