This video reminds me that there are people still out there who have not been somehow caught up in all this mainstream shit that is corrupting people's brains in the digital world today. If you are watching this, well done. You still have a brain, and that is reassuring.
Cool video, man. I hardly ever watch fan-made videos (or music videos at all, to be honest), but I came across this and really enjoyed it. It made me think of being a kid.
Actually, I shot this footage around 1998-1999 with a Super 8 camera I had just acquired. Didn't know what to do with this footage for years until I heard this song.
This song has helped me through so many panic attacks and/or anxiety riddled moments. God save BSS, I hope they go back to the style they started with.
@farewelle I agree. I like their current stuff, but this song is like nothing I've ever heard. It's incredible.
Still, Guilty Cubicles is a once in a lifetime song. Even if they had continued making post-rock and ambient music, none of it would have compared to Guilty Cubicles, I guarantee! THAT'S how amazing this song is :)
finding good music and bands like this on any radiostation is like looking for a flower in some thorn bushes, the shitty music (thorns) keeps u from lookin but the flowers (real music) are in ther somewhere. or you can look up indie, alternate music on the net
This song makes me feel a sense of nostalgia and longing. But I don't know what I'm longing for. I can listen to this song for ages and still get lost in it every time.
The music video goes with the song so well. I wish I could enter this video. I wish the world looked like grainy film and this song played on loop.
Especially at the end, on the overpass with the cars. I wish I were there, so badly.
Kids my age listen to crappy music. I'm so glad that I can appreciate this song's beauty.
Ambient bliss, so thick you can get lost in it. Only sensitive ears can appreciate this type of beauty. Listen to this song anytime you feel like disappearing...
there is not many pieces of music that you hear today that can make you feel such emotions as this song. great video as well! bss are geniuses which is exactly why more people have heard of lady gaga and justin beiber. most americans dislike intelligence and art/music/movies with substance.
@pgriffs1 what the hell type of comparison is that? BSS and Bieber are Canadian, yet you are likening them to the preferences of Americans as a whole?? What the fuck? BSS don't get as much airplay within the US as Canada. Think of media sampling you dumbass before you make retarded comments that get you thumbs downed like right now asshole.
@Hamgammy dude, chill the fuck out. all i was saying is that it's sad that lady gaga and justin beiber (talentless wastes of life) are famous in the US and bss is unknown. it's sad that the majority of americans buy into corporate whores like beiber and lady gaga instead of appreciating BRILLIANT MUSIC LIKE BSS. wtf is wrong with saying that? most americans couldn't tell good music if it was being played right in front of them.
It saddens me deeply that with the advance of digital technology, in 100 years people may not be aware of the beautiful aesthetics of grainy jumpy film. And even if they see it I imagine it would be meaningless, unable to evoke the warmth it can in you and I, because they don't have any experiences or memories for it to evoke.
You're right. But perhaps there is still hope... I am only 15, and I have only ever been brought up with films that are not grainy... but still, this video captures the warmth, and delicate beauty of life, thanks to the quiet swoon of guitars that is Guilty Cubicles, and the wonderful video.
@rothery86 so what? different people respond to different mediums? just because you grew up on this doesn't mean that it's any better than something that will influence a new generation of people. Get your conceited head out of your ass and look at the big picture you arrogant twat.
@EagleHawkSpider No. What I am saying is that there will be a total lack of a specific, extremely evocative medium after digital technology reaches critical mass. In fact that has already happened. An entire style of nostalgia will be gone, and I find that sad, as it is not being replaced by anything.
Nevermore anyone?

@blinnlambert This song has always been a sedative for me, But reading your comment...
I only find myself able to conjure a single tear. Emotions kept veiled for so long...
Music, Especially broken social scene, reminds me that everythings not ok.
But that is ok.
