I wouldn't waste my $ on a project involving an expensive item like iPad2 but it seems that almost any budget blue-tooth enabled Android tab/slate would do just fine for a car installation. You can always tether it with a phone to get live Pandora, internet and traffic info. In fact I think it'd be more inexpensive & practical with 7" tab installation in SUV's and sedans.

IOS is by far the most polished mobile os. An iPad in the dash makes the best vehicle media device hands down 100%. I don't mean to come off as crude, but I coulnt disagree more.

Thats why I love my Ipad more in my dash, having the Ipad in the dash makes searching for music super simple, and my friends like taking pics with the front cam while I drive

very cool design. Using the Sirius/XM app as a secondary to a primary account gives one the ability to have it in their vehicle for $3 a month, plus everything else..not to mention other audio based applications. Very good job on the fit and finish!
