  • I HAVE THE VERY SAME KNIFE BUT DIFFERENT IN A COUPLE WAYS AND IM WONDERING IF U GUYS HAVE ANY IDEAS WHY!?

1.- ONE MINE THE SIGNATURES ARE NOT ENGRAVED

2.- IT HAS " AF 1180/3000 " TO THE RIGHT OF THE SIGNATURES

3.- IT DOES NOT HAVE A SERIAL ON THE BRASS GUARD

IM FAIRLY CONFIDENT IS AUTHENTIC IM JUST WONDERING HOW COME IT HAS THOSE 3 DIFFERENCES? CAN ANYONE HELP?

  • is 6" really enough for a quick kill?

  • How much does the knife weigh?

  • Any idea where you can get this baby for as cheap as possible.

  • Great review. I have been thinking about to get one to play around with. I have the Böker training knives and they feel good too. Also good that its not so sharp out of the box so i don't cut myself too easily when playing around with it.

  • too bad, wish it had a kydex sheath

  • Rex Applegate, Checkmate in 2 moves Baby!!!

  • loved your video. i have one of these and love it (s/n 2498) the one i have has the kydex sheath.. it feels like you are holding a precision instrument. like you i collect combat knives, it may not be as strong as my ek commanko knives (of which I have 4 versions). i have a mk 1 and mk 2 gerber, but their steel is way to brittle. this knive would actually save your life and last you a lifetime.

  • Is having a loud velcro fastener on a dagger not a little ridiculous? Incidentally the function of the original is much misunderstood in my opinion. It was designed to be employed in concert with a fairly specific martial arts movement which ultimately was chosen to spare the commandos psychological trauma. Slashing cuts to arteries and such are a decidedly hideous and slow way to kill someone, so a stab through lung and heart was preferred. Scary stuff. Beautiful blade.

  • Ah! My favorite conbat knife!

fwiw, those assisted opening knives are vulgar and bring to mind images of weekend rambo / survilaist wannabe's.

  • I have the same knife, but with the Besh Wedge Blade

  • Extremely great dagger. I buy this knife1 month ago after view you overview :). Thanx :)

  • Thanks for your video ! Great combat knife , i carry this knife as EDC fixed blade .

  • @vegantrax They make some good knives! Thanks for watching!

  • Love it!

  • @butaangas Thanks!

  • its a nice blade no doubt.

great review al always K.just a question, besides the style of the blade, the quality of the steel has influence on how the edge will last?

i dont have any 440c steel blade on my collection, where would you put it in a steel "rank"?

  • @yukiotakata In my opinion is falls just above AUS8 and 8CR13MOV. 440C is similar to VG10 but is still below 154CM. 440C in my opinion is a great steel for work knives or EDC because they are relatively easy to sharpen and hold a decent edge. Thank you for the kind comment!

  • @edgedweapon88 thanks K!

    have a nice week.

  • cool knife. great photos. interesting fun fact. thanks for sharing!

  • @LiveLoveTry Thanks for the kind comment.

  • Hi, just a thought : I think a bit of Flitz polish paste would make that brass guard look cooler, I did the same thing with a Katana seppa...

  • @Paulievr1986 Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate you watching.

  • what is the intro music to your videos and why does it sound so damn familiar?

and i have the fairbairn sykes. its a thing of beauty. i think the Boker A-F combat knife is almost as nice.

  • @TheGreatOldOnes The intro song is Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria. Thanks for watching.

  • @edgedweapon88

no problem. sorry if i came off as rude in my previous comment.

  • @TheGreatOldOnes Not at all. Your comment was completely fine! Thanks for watching.

  • that's an awesome looking knife, great review.

  • @eyespy0099 Thank you. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Great review as always. I've never seen delrin used on a knife handle but I know they use it often for guitar picks to provide comfort and grip so I bet it must feel nice.

  • @srvisgod88 Thats very interesting. Thanks for that bit of information!!! I was surprised when I saw it listed as Delrin because I had no Idea what it was. I looks pretty close to FRN to me. But if Delrin is used to provide a more comfortable grip it sure does a good job. Thanks for watching!

  • Been eyeballing this knife for awhile.

  • @NewDaysofNoah I did the same thing before I bought it. Thanks for watching!

  • That's a very cool piece to have in your collection, I really like all the Fairbairn knives. Awesome work as always on the review man.

  • neat. now you need a Condor Combat Machete :D

  • @Klayperson Yes I do! Thanks for watching.

  • GREAT REVIEW, kinda reminds me of a large throwing knife. THUMBS UP.

  • @Unknowngun101 Thanks for watching. It reminds me of a throwing knife as well. I appreciate the kind words.

  • Looks like a nice knife. I love the look of the British Commando Fairbairn Sykes but never knew about Applegate's work.

If you don't already have a FS, I can't offer you with a lot of great advice but they are a lovely looking blade and a great collectors blade.

Found you through MrJimboFox and the Force Multiplier; loving everything I've seen so far!

  • @RedwallII I will look into the FS. Thanks for the info! I appreciate the kind comment and the time you take to watch my videos. MrJimbofox is a good guy and I hope you enjoyed the Force Multiplier.

  • Nice review and knife. I had purchased a mid range Boker and the only bad thing about it was its lack of a sharp edge. It wouldn't cut paper either.

  • @biguy525 Thanks for watching! I appreciate the kind comment. Boker produces some decent stuff but you are right that they do not come sharp from the factory.

  • Great vid! cool looking knife

  • @evankoeve Thank you!

  • That's pretty cool. I love the way you've been doing reviews lately. Keep up the good work.
