@OldTimeyGraeme Appreciate the kind words. I watched and listened to the Steve Earle videos with Sharon Shannon over and over. I am not a teacher of any sort I am just a mandolin banger like most. If I can find some time I can try to record it further back so you can see what I am doing. I do not know if it is correct or not I just did what sounded sort of close.
@damnyancey Thanks for the comment. The song is in the key of D. The chords I use are just open chords. D, G and sort of a hybrid A chord. For the A chord I just use the G and D string covered on the 2nd fret. Hope that helps.
Great cover and very natural. Not a lot of people do justice to this great song but you do. Brilliant.
