  • Check out Tommy Emmanuel

  • You are just amazing at playing guitar and i love your unique style

  • Very wonderful music!!! Thank you for sharing! :-)

  • Greatful work , it remainds me of Michel Haumont and his CD "Ma Guitare", it seems like you have not only an awesome playing, your play is like giving the guitar a voice, it's own voice. Go on with it!

Do you play with Elixir strings or do you're using another type?

  • @MarieJelena Thanks alot! I do use Elixir Phos Bronz .12-.53

  • Decent piece mate!

  • awesome maneli! Thxx for sharing...

  • Beautiful! What a talent!

  • Very nice

  • Open tuning might have been popularized in the West, but the result is now that future of acoustic guitar seems to be moving to the East. John Fahey was inspired, after all, by Persian as well as American music. Now it's come full circle and it's clear that the drone and rhythms of this stlye are perfectly suited to Eastern music.

  • @svengollyg I agree. It's the artist's job to find a harmonic balance between the two cultural 'sounds'. I haven't by all means perfected it but I've been aware of it and am trying to reach a workable balance between the two.

  • @svengollyg Agreed! Im surprised that not many people have taken advantage of the guitars potential in this topic. Its possible to emulate the middle eastern sounds with the guitar but just have to take the time to learn the articulations of their scales and such. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  • wow ! COOL : >

  • Really it seems like your trying to be like andy mckee but you do have your own sound and you have mastered this technique so good job

  • @spcACE20 Awesome thanks for those words!

  • @arcainjust Thank you!

  • not to bash at your guitar playing skills, but i saw an ad from you once... which was similar to that album cover, it's an outline of your body i believe with a guitar...

it seemed completely ripped off the idea of David Gilmour's On an island.. and i laughed at it.. you are good at guitar tho, ... but why did u do that?

  • @koushymama No worries, I appreciate your honesty. I've never seen that album cover before but it looks cool! I don't think my cover has too much resemblance to that cover art though.

  • Hi there ,what did you want to say in your reply to my comment ,dear Manelli ?????

  • @havalyousef Thank you for your support :)

  • wow. really cool Maneli ! Glad you posted this ! Great job as always !

  • Super ! ! !

  • I am hearing a band playing not a single guitsrist playing ,

    God bless you dear brother.

  • congratulations guy! you 're cool!

  • Great to hear some of your history. It is to our benefit (the music), that you have gone through the trials that you and your family have experienced...BTW What do you feel is the difference between your Cole Clark and your Taylor? Does the Cole Clark have a balanced sound like the Expression system?

  • @GodFamilyandGuitars the cole clark pickup system beats the trebley expression system as it has way more control to balance the frequencies. It is great for percussive styles since there is a long metal plate on the guitar top that picks up all the acoustic sounds naturally. Cant beat it!

  • Hey Maneli, Congrats on your success brother and good luck to you. I am sorry that you were not allowed to stay in the U.S.A. Any country would be lucky to have you as a citizen. Take care brother.

  • @MusicalMike12 Thanks for the support. My home is where my guitar is and it doesn't matter which country it is in :)

  • @maneli That's really insightful! :o :)

    Carlos

  • Maneli.. This is so cool to see you playing in the beginning with full camera and stage. Just incredible sound and of course Lucid Drawl is amazing. So cool also to see the interview and hear you talk (when not translated over)... and really sweet for the Ziur mention, your gal must be something very special.. Loved watching this Maneli. Congrats on getting the recognition that you truly deserve. Emily

  • @guitarrx3girl Thanks Emily, always a pleasure to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • Bravo Maneli!!

  • Beautiful playing :)

  • Hey Maneli, this guy really is pain in the bottom, he did not let you speak for more than 10 sexonds, as if he had a time shedule to meet. Anyway, you managed to get your Lucid Drawl through. On another note, it is interesting to know that your 6-7 months "forced" guitar practice at home while waiting for immigration papers in Canada refined and deepened the quality of your music. I am really proud to be your friend and fan at this point in time. Success is the word for you!

    Cheers/JP

  • @aedo41 Hehe. Thanks for your support and kind words. Your CD should be there soon :)

    Cheers ~_~ Zac

  • @KissThePoems Thanks Zac, always a pleasure hearing from you.

  • you are the man maneli

  • sounds nice

  • Lucid Drawl gave me goosebumps. The meshing of English and American folk guitar, with the Persian melodic minor scales and sounds was amazing.

On a side note, possibly the strangest interview I've ever seen: interviewee answering in English, overdubbed in Farsi, and translated back into English subtitles.

    Love it!

  • @boswell255 Haha agreed! But gotta have it with subtitles for the english speaking crowd :)

  • @maneli Lol, don't get me wrong I'm glad you did (I can only speak English), just saying I've never seen that before. Cheers

  • @boswell255 I've seen that before. Someone answering to the reporter in french. which was dubbed in English as it was on an English TV channel. But the whole episode/segment was then subbed in french for the french TV channel.

  • WHOOO! Good job man! =D

  • It was fun to try and surmise the interview in Persian, but the subtitles are much appreciated too :)

  • Whoa, does "merci" mean thank you in Persian, like it does in French? Eh I guess that makes sense...

  • @jkshoujk Yeah!

  • Amazing man! You're gonna be the top acoustic player in the world one day :P

  • Go, Maneli, go! I can't believe how cool that Cole Clark sounds with pickup. Now taking over London. Show them how to play!

  • Great job Maneli!

  • Well done! I enjoyed the interview and the closeup footage of you playing. Fascinating to watch and listen. Congratulations Maneli!

  • @CasaLucita Thanks!

  • Lol, was the guitar competition for the Faith guitar?

  • @moooocat yeah haha.

  • Interesting cultural exchange, music aside...

  • Nice to see :). How do you accept students?

  • Dommage on en aurait bien écouté davantage....Le chapeau est beau mais il ne vaut pas ta musique.

  • wow great job

  • nice thanks for the inv thats cool

  • congrats maneli!!! keep up the great work and you will get even more response!

    marcel

  • So happy to see you getting this attention, Maneli. I honestly think you could easily stand alongside the greats like Andy Mckee and Don Ross, especially since you have such a uniqe style and original melodies! I love how every time you play your songs it's a new interpretation :] Keep it up man!

  • Godlike

  • Just beautiful!!! Your music is light shining from the soul.

    Max

  • @vv7 Haha yeh yeh. Thanks a lot!

  • I have a friend who was also born in belarus, i travelled there too two yars ago. you're from minsk ? in my opinion canada is a far better place to live than there, everybody is under surveillance

congrats for that interview ! best for the future

  • @YTimshel I was born in Minsk, yeah!

  • You definitely deserve the attention, Maneli! :D

  • I hope one day your story reaches out across the entire globe, as it truly kept me motivated at a time when I wasn't doing so well, for that I thank you Maneli.

    I wish you the best.

  • @BringThaRain27 Thank you very much!

  • Such talent is God given. I am so sorry you had to leave America. Our loss. Wish you could give me guitar lessons to help me improve. The best to you.

    Pamela

  • @Harky1951 No worries, if it wasn't for Canada I wouldn't have focused on the acoustic guitar so I'm happy where I am :)

  • Congrats! I'm happy for you dude.

  • Awesome, really interesting Maneli. I hope to be able to do something like that in a few years, would be really cool. Is there a longer version of this interview?
