  • wow this is awesome! :) 1:04 is how I feel when I Play by myself! :D shes really good though! i was hoping for un Mortal!

    eso es muito bom!

  • So sad that a talented woman as her promotes a brand that produces in poor countries with working kids...

  • sexy.

  • Hmmm i cant hate on a girl playing capoeira=)

  • adidas for ever ehehehe

  • not dificult moves

  • Does anyone know of a Nike shoe that is good for running/acrobatics? Im learning Tricking and i need a decent pair of treads

  • Get pumas

  • wth? i've never seen a capoeira fighter with shoes

  • yeap, try to play capoeira barefoot on a dirty street

  • well, unless you are used to train on soft tatami-like or gym podium ground, you tend to develop some serious callouses. they help protect and I've played (and slided, and kicked hard) in roda de ruas a lot and so far nothing more than scratches ;)

  • sorry, I ment to give a thumb up. I also played lots of street rodas...

  • haha nike has to capitalize on everything you could invent a sport and if it got global theyd pop up with a shoe for it when in actuality they are all just cross trainers

  • I have.

  • que porra é essa de jogar com tennis?

    merda de consumismo!

  • Muito bom, very god. seach: Grupo Barauna.

  • Not perfectly, but nice =)

  • Damn she fought a shadow clone! she's good.

  • daaaamn shes good...and for any one saying this isnt capoeira who cares even if it wasnt this would look amazing in the ring regardless

  • shes hot

  • wow shes hot!!!

  • I would marry her. Jogo do vida! Muito Axe my fellow Capoeiristas!

  • Sexi,mrau! :D

  • man, thats a cool suit!

  • good idea for your video

  • really nice aubatido. i wish i was that flexible :D salve unicar!

  • unicar? salve camangula

  • bravo!

  • There is no capoeira in that video. Just some gymnastics. Capoeira is played in pairs.

  • That statement only holds to Capoeira as a game, but when it's a martial art, "play" no longer applies. However, Capoeira martial artists don't seem to share this sentiment, hence the whoopings because they couldn't be serious.

  • dude, its Capoeira FREESTYLE..

asshole, why dont u make a better vid urself?

  • It is a solo game. If you knew Capoeira, you would know this.

  • that is a REALLY dumb statement, you can do capoeira by yourself.

  • Nice! :)

  • eso no es capoeira!!! bonitos movimientos pero de capoeira nada

  • That is soooooooo cool!!

  • man that would be so deadly to learn capoeira eh?

  • nic ciekawego :(

  • the funniest part about all this is that nike missed the mark so much by failing to realise that, apart from angola, capoeira is usually played barefoot.

  • If she where barefoot, how would Nike hype up there gym shoe? It may be a capoeira based commercial, but let's not forget it is a commericial first and foremost.

  • wow! really nice (and clean!)

  • matrixrico da cá um pulo em Angola que aqui também tem capoeira boa e exemplar *risos*

Quanto as coisas que essa capoeirista fez, são legais, mas podiam ser melhores...por uma queda de rins, movimentos que exigem mais do corpo...

  • marry me

  • The best is the sound.

    hehehhe

  • Nike promotes slave labor, which is what true capoeira fights against.

  • Rather than an argument on how cool this is, angola or regional blah blah blah. Too many people who practice capoeira are tied into the hype of it to stop and realize such relevant issues as Nike promoting an art form that was developed in resistance to slavery. Yet Nike continues to make apparel in massive sweatshops where people who work in them are highly underpaid and are almost working in slave-like conditions.

  • nothing more to say.... kickinit85 you said all!!

  • Mind Blowin', that was awesome. I wanna learn capoeira.

  • wow! Aye!

  • Heloo peaple its capoeira im brazilian... capoeira e o meljor esporte do mundo depois do football...

  • num chega nem aos pés do brasileiros essa americana ai...

    quer capoeira de verdade??

    EH BRASIL!!!

    o resto..eh resto...

    e tdo resto...eh lixo

  • ela e brasileira, conheço ela!!!

  • harikasın kraliçe çok iyi capoeira yapıyorsun tebrikler.

  • this is capoeira

    ginga = capoeira people

  • LOL GUYS ITS CAPOEIRA .

  • nice moves but I agree with some of the guys, this not Capoeira (Either angola, regional or the so called "contemporanea") there is no berimbau, no roda and therefore there is no AXÉ so Nike missed the point of what Capoeira is About:"Capoeira é luta" not only these moves. En pocas palabras no mamen, no porque sea buena la hermosa y tenga elasticidad quiere decir que es capoeira

  • I get what you're saying. And I really don't get why you got thumbs down...

For everyone that did not understand: yes these are capoeira moves, but thesickness619 is saying "capoeira is more than just moves. Without a roda, axé, berimbau, etc. it's empty. Hence Nike missed the point of what capoeira is about." Thumbs up to you from me, camara ;)

I do like the commercial tho :)

Professora Cristina é massa, e uma grande capoeirista! Tem movimentos bonitos!

  • that was capoeira , I play.

  • you can tell straight away its capoeria , so everyone thinking it isnt, it is, the opening stance proves it

  • well conditioned but not smooth... i've seen more graceful.

  • Nice sound

  • she is soooo flexible!!!

  • waaaaw verry cool

  • I am going to write this in English because it is my first language and the way I can best express myself through typing.

If you sell your "capoeira" to Nike than you are missing the whole point.

Nike is a corporation that enslaves children. And if you found your self in Nike as the end of the ad implies and did not find yourself in capoeira as the existance of the ad proves, than I wish you much more capoeira, as it is apparent you need it.

Sorriso not Tabareu- just in case...

  • Good job. But you left out that America enslaves children and nations. Thank your law makers for the NAFTA and WTO. Google maquiladoras...

  • lol good

  • Capoeira y nike no me parecen la mejor combinación, capoeira no es patrocinar una marca, esta muy por encima de eso

  • Harika hareketler

  • Capoeira Looks good Ha?

  • Everyone who wasn't invited to do Capoeira in front of the shiny camera has so many comments!:)

  • shes damn good

but i dont like her style

  • berimbau

  • Alot of you out there are so ignorant, sure nike tries to buy into a lot of things, but why do you have to bash it and the capoeirista. There's no roda no berimbau, no opponent, but thats really not the point now is it. It's a pretty cool piece of performance art that.

  • no shoes in Capoeira man!

  • Where is berimbau and roda?

  • She would kill you

  • The problem I have with this is that Nike thinks they can buy into any culture they want and make it their own corporate product, and this Lady is selling out. But Nike doesn´t own and can´t own capoeira because capoeira belongs to Brazil and especially afro-brazilians who call it thier tradition. Nikes Tradition is exploiting workers all around the world, so maybe they should feature this in thier next video. Where is the Bateria, the calling, the response and the Roda?

  • oh c'mon!!! get off your high horse. she has to make a living how is that seling out? Nobody owns capoeira! Hey at least she is out there spreading the art of capoeira. As long there are real capoeiras teaching real capoeira with the traditions and rituals that go along with capoeira there is nothing to worry about.....

  • Dont mean to argue but...Nike is a company that threatens mags in to not displaying anything that could harm their business.they pay workers in foreign nations cents out of the dozens of dollars they sell their shoes for.google the "Dont Do It" movement based in my town (Santa Cruz)

  • Where's the sound?

  • or die

  • Wow shes very good

  • kinda like writing your name in the snow right?

  • All those years of training but if it were a fight between any guy vs her she would still get wasted...shes only wasted her years of training

  • martial arts is more than "kicking ass" lmfao. besides that ive heard of situations where normal women defended themselves fine, now a capoeirista female vs ANY guy=loss LMFAO I think not

  • well thats what ordinary people like ,not kicking other guy with some good tecnics <-- thats what some martial arts trainers are interest in like me aswell as you propably

  • Can u Pay my Bills Too Miss Femenist??

  • are you an idoit capoeira have a lot of kicking in it because it was made by black slaves in south america. their hands was chained up so they had to use their legs to kick and head to headbutt. :P

  • hey, she's real good.

  • Blow it out your arse, then you go up against her...then you can open your fat mouth or maybe your fat lip when she's done with ya...twat...!!!

  • Haha... he'd get much more than a fat lip going up against a capoeiraist.

  • she's awesome and she looks goood!!!

  • Its official...i love this woman.

  • Its capoeira

    what do you expect

  • Hi...

    Is there any background music.??

  • no... whats the irony blackstarsirius?

  • Does no one else see the irony of Capoeira being featured in a nike commercial? >.>

  • nike oppresses the weak and poor downtrodden member of society by running sweat shops

capoera represents the subservient society standing strong through hidden martial art in dance

    capoera is for bare-foot serfs!

  • * woOow!. AMAZING!!!. *

  • uhhhhhhhhh!!!!

    excellent video. nice butt...

  • Goddamn nike.

  • Man is nothing sacred??

  • MY GOD!!! it's like she has no bones!! Amazing...I am so taking a class in this

  • my idole

  • i purfure not to wear them only because it feels better..but it always depends on the person...

  • its actually really awesome... very fine and clean moves and extremely good at what she does

  • super women ;o

  • hilariously, though, capoeiristas don't wear shoes when they play.

  • half the capoeiristas i know wear shoes

  • Some of them do. It's a personal prefference thing but being barefoot gets you lts of blisters and calouses. I don't but many of the people at my school including my Mestre wear shoes pretty regularly.

  • Actually, most (if not all) Angoleros wear shoes.

  • Angoleiros do.

  • uhhhhhhhhh!!!!

    excellent video. nice butt...

  • wheres the music??! LOL... at least you could play zoom zoom, great vid tho

  • capoeira! sound much???

  • Any Videos of her actually battling someone? Where somebody gets hit? I would love to see the fighiting style in motion.

It is a bit hard to see its effectiness without a target to counter.

  • The One That say that woman does not do Capoeira, do not know who she is. She is one of the Instructoras/Professoras of Capoeira From the Group of Senzala.

She is also the wife of Contra-Mestre Torneiro.

So She is a high level Capoeira player.

  • sound???

  • that is not capoeira...sorry!!!!

but a nice video she is a great dancer!!!

  • sorry for you it's capoeira and she is intrutor in the group senzala and she from paris

  • maybe she is an istructor and play capoeira, but on this video its acrobatic and not capoeira. If this is capoeira all gymnast know capoeira. if you still dont agree with me look at this site and tell me if you se a resemblance????

  • This is capoeira.

  • hahaha.. you dont get it ha???

    okey.. lets leave this conversation.

  • it is capoeira. the first two kicks are armada and meilua respectively. gymnasts don't kick. also, excuse my spelling (my portugese isn't great).

  • y do u say that it isn't capoeira!? and its gymnast? can u point out the differences so we won't get confused and pls explain it to us...

  • yeah...its not REALY capoeira because wheres the roda and the music? shes doing the moves though.

  • your looking for the roda!? isn't doing the jogo with her mirror is enough to tell it is capoeira??

  • its capoeira alright. AND DAMN SHE'S AWESOME!!!

  • Hear, Hear.

Capoiera with no berimbau, or at least an opponent is just movement. Where's the call and response? Where's the Axe? Even if she's an amazing Capoeira, this video shows only her acrobatics and movements, not Capoeira.

  • Saramenina is correct. This is not capoeira.

  • nope, this is jiu jitsu!!! kkkk

  • bs......its capoeira nerd...my dad brazlian so i shud no

  • no sounds?

  • sheeeeessss sooooooo seeeexxxyyyyy!!!!!!!!
