  • Is it really necessary to fill the bottom part to the maximum amount of water? I have one at home that is a 6cup size but I usually just make 1-2 cups with it.

  • @mark2500 I think that you should brew to your personal taste; cutting it shorter is going to be similar to cutting a shot short -- there are going to be elements of flavor from the latter part of brewing that you may or may not like. It isn't really necessary to do anything in particular with coffee, I think, but to experiment and find what you like, then go with it. :) - Kat

  • The video was great and very informative about how a siphon cafe works (I always wondered.....), but the background noise could not have been more annoying!

Ah, well; thank you for the infotainment, regardless! I learned something!

  • @jerofl Sorry, that's what happens with gonzo filming sometimes. It is what it is. - Kat

  • Just got my YAMA today. If only I had 20K for halogen heater...

  • Somebody needed to yell: "QUIET ON THE SET!" around the 4 minute mark. :-)

  • Totally -- we were multi-tasking and doing a pour-over competition between Velton & Gail and they were hand grinding right now...so sound suffered, unfortunately. I need to get a better sound story going anyway, though. - Kat

  • This is so cool

  • I loved it! Wish there were more of these around for people to try out. :) - Kat
