I was just poking around for some High School age reaction to the State of the Union to share with my kids in an attempt to get them more interested in politics. Thanks for posting the video.

I liked the bus metaphor, especially since the Republicans offered a lot of input and each proposal was shot down by the congressional Democrats. The Republicans have even had their health care reform ideas posted online for quite a while, so to portray them as not offering alternative solutions.

Jake, great point about setting a time-line and putting pressure on Congress. You're right Mike, the President gave a lot of specifics. Mark, I agree. Obama was highly critical of the Republicans. But the push under the bus metaphor? Not sure I agree. He was very critical, but I thought his criticism was factual and well supported. Sam, I've been waiting too for some action on gay rights. A lot of us have! I'm glad he mentioned gays in the military, but wish he'd said more.
