I understand that most people are so confused because they don't know which way is the right one.But God is really the only one that knows our souls and hearts! He is all around us looking if there is sincerity. So ask God himself for the right way to serve Him! He will show you where He talks to his people. Ask Him with your heart!
@PerfectCharity Welcome. Correct, the punishment doesn't last forever, but it's effects do. The concept of an eternally burning place called hell comes from pagan mythology and made it's way into the early Christian church sometime after the death of the apostles.
@PerfectCharity - means noone can put the fires out. The same description was given about the fires that destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah. The fires burned up everything and noone was able to put them out. The fires eventually subsided after everything was burned however. Book of Jude says that is an example of the day of judgment for the wicked. Praise God yes Jesus does know what He's talking about.
@sleanos Or you can go like me and just follow God. Denomination doesn't really matter, as long as they tell the Truth about life, God, Jesus, Hell, Heaven,Sin, and all the work God has done for Israel and the Jewish people from the Bible. Most of the time it isn't an issue, at least not in the Bible. Just make sure it is true and can be proven to be a fact, or have high probablity of one.
@Gonegoodforever God's true remnant church is described precisely in the Bible and so being in the right church is important because you want to be amongst a body of believers who are all on the same page as far as doctrinal understanding so that they/we may move forward together growing in grace.
@sleanos But every demonination that follows the Bible, even the Catholic books is the body of Christ. As long as they follow that "Facts" are in the Bible and that has been found. Besides, just surrounding people who simply believe the same thing can be limiting and as a Christian community aren't we supposed to both take care and support each other and spread the Gospel.
@Gonegoodforever No argument there. We believe that as well.Bible teaches that God's people individually exist in every denomination/religious persuasion or lack there of (according to the light they've had)&He is calling all to repentance &faith in His Son, which leads to obedience out of of Love. That doesn't change the fact that Bible spoke of a remnant in Israel during their times in captivity to call the people back to Bible truth, and the same is happening as we near the2nd Coming of Christ.
@sleanos Ok, I don't get the thing about a light. None of them need light blubs for that sort of thing. Besides, I have seen alot of fake Christians on the top of society, bringing real ones down.
@Gonegoodforever "light" just refers to the wisdom, knowledge and teachings found in the Word of God that people apply and do in their lives. There are degrees of goodness and degrees of badness and God calls us to be perfect and good and holy like Jesus. Sin is sin and is all the same to God of course. And yes God has a LOT to say against hypocritical Christians. Don't look at them though for examples of our faith. We are all only to look to Jesus as He is our example in all things.
@sleanos Fine, just be good. I was going to read my Bible today at work on my lunch. But I forgot. I just think of Christianity as more than a book or a building, or even people, same with Jesus, he is more than just some man, or a ghost with a human body, a full human body, that is still working. He is more, somehow than that. Then again, I died and came back last year.
@Gonegoodforever It's more than just being good. It's about who you get to know and the main way to get to know God is to read the Bible and study the life of Jesus. Morality will never save anyone, it is only Jesus.
seals, revelation, spare ribs, snake, apple tree, spirit. evil, I am glad I am happy with whom I am and just live each day rather than embriol my self in the constant chatter of religous fever.
What makes you think Christians aren't happy with who they are? We don't claim to be perfect, we just claim their is a better way of living that leads to eternal and an abundant life through Jesus Christ.
Some people will burn a little, some perhaps not all before being destroyed, while other will burn longer and satan will be punsihed the longest as the Bible tells us he was the first cause of all this mess and deceived the human race starting with Eve.
No. At judgment, all those who have fully put their trust in the Savior and choose to willfully obey Him will be translated/given new bodies and the gift of immortality is given then. All the others will be punished in the lake of fire according to what they have done in their lifetime since they rejected God's saving Grace, before finally being destroyed. The wicked will be no more after justice is served.
No hell is not eternal. The effects of the punishment from hell fire (lake of fire) on the day of judgment (after the second coming of Jesus) are what is eternal. But hell fire itself will not burn forever.
You just don't understand. Revelation talks about a 7 year Tribulation. The seals won't be broken until that time. Watch my video series on the Tribulation.
I do understand. Revelation does NOT specify a 7 year tribulation. There is a tribulation, but you are mis-applying the last week of the 70 week prophecy to end time events where it doesn't belong. 70 comes right after 69. Please give biblical scripture/evidence for WHY you can just chop off the last week and move it to the close of time.
Research the history of Christianity. The truth: There is One True Church. Pillar of Fire. Pillar of Truth.

What does is it mean when Jesus said that the fires of Hell are never quenched ? Boy, that Jesus guy has no idea what he is talking about ....

@PerfectCharity No offense, but sarcasm is very unbecoming of a Christian (if you claim to be one that is?)
