i have a bullie nad my grandparents breed them, they are a very very loyal and fun loving dog, powerful and fearless, stubborn and pretty hard to train hahah but my dog manages sit, drop come here, get out, get on your bed, and like 10 other basic commands. bullies are an excellent pet

@skinnydogkew I have been caring for a blind Bull Terrier (Possum) and although I have o agree with you that what breeders do to them can be terrible (and I expect why she and many others are blind) I have to dissagree with respect to intellegence. Possum has adjusted to blindness very well and is very happy and confident. I give her many challenges to keep her from getting bored and she has proven herself to be quite smart!
@skinnydogkew well you havent done alot with bull terriers,most of my dogs have been able to perform different comands,as well as walking over cow grids whithout out falling through the gaps one was very good at ambushing squirrels in our back yard,sorry the only thing i agree with on is stuborn,my dogs have been dalmation type (tall and slim)most people go for the bull type (heavy weight) you also have terrier type usually smaller
@tubeyou123863 These examples are not indicative of particularly high intelligence, just average stuff. You really see their true colours when teaching obedience. There may be some ok performers once in a blue moon but i haven't seen one to date.

@skinnydogkew I don't have a very broad understanding of dog breeding let alone Bull Terrier breeding but I have come to love the breed if not the actual way they are bred. Bull terriers were one of the few breeds that made me feel uncomfortable when seeing them in the street. I have faced down Staffies and German Shepards baring their teeth at me but I probably wouldn't have felt confident enough to do that with a Bull Terrier... Blind Dog Possum made me realise it's the owners!

@supershqipa make sure to check for and treat for mange as soon as you get your pup 8 weeks have them scrape and do blood test most breeders are now trying to prevent this but popularity spike from 1995 till now seems to have somehow affected 70 percnt of old english bull terriers with one or both types of mange not a big prolbem if you catch and treat as soon as you get your pup or a bald spot appears LOL these guys are almost perfect buddy dogs and the truest comedian of the dog world

@AlexandraaBabbyy I agree blood lines are....true pitbull no more than 45 50 lbs were bred as half and half old english white terrier and old english bulldog .....bullterriers are old english white terrier old english bulldog and pharoh hound......to see the closest thing to an old english bulldog find a breeder of (used to be called American bulldog) now the 30 or so breeders left call them english white bulldogs and you almost have to marry into one of the families to get one

I think these dogs are beautiful but ugly. I don't like their size,look compared to an APBT but i hear all terrier breeds have a lot of heart to please.. sadly pitbulls seem to get a lot of the bad rep.. nice dog to the poster !

@Dealit707 Couldnt agree more. They are not for everyone as you have to put a lot of time in, but for the true dog person these are the absolute pinnacle. I love SBTs, Mastiffs, Bulldogs and Pitbulls but if its not a Bull Terrier then sorry but its just another dog. The ones in this vid are from very strong lines too, some of the best Ive seen on youtube.

@supershqipa make sure to check for and treat for mange as soon as you get your pup 8 weeks have them scrape and do blood test most breeders are now trying to prevent this but popularity spike from 1995 till now seems to have somehow affected 70 percnt of old english bull terriers with one or both types of mange not a big prolbem if you catch and treat as soon as you get your pup or a bald spot appears LOL these guys are almost perfect buddy dogs and the truest comedian of the dog world
