Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009 (Introduced in House)

Ron Pauls Federal Reserve Transparency Act is a bait and switch because it

allows the Federal Reserve to audit itself.

He designates the Comptroller General of the Currency to perform the audit,

but the Comptroller General is, in actuality, the Federal Reserve itself,

as documented by Title 31, Subtitle I, Chapter 7, Subchapter II subsection

(a) which states:

the words Financial Institutions Examination Council, the Federal Reserve

Board, Federal reserve banks, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and

the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency are substituted for the

agencies, banks, facilities, and corporation, listed in clauses (A), (B),

(C), and (D) of paragraph (1) for clarity. The words and their branches

and facilities are omitted as unnecessary because of section 4 of the Rules

of Organization of the Federal Reserve System set out in 12:222 (TITLE 31 >

SUBTITLE I > CHAPTER 7 > SUBCHAPTER II).
