Humans make farms for food supply; it's an easy concept to carry over to other races' food supplies in both games without getting confusing.

The reason player 'GG' before the end of the match is because of time and entertainment. They play hundreds of games, and once you realize you're going to lose, you're pretty much wasting time. That time adds up eventually. It can also be very depressing to see your opponent completely destroy your base. It can influence your performance in the next game.

Victory is a constant in every match, it's how the advantage is gained over the opponent that matters. FYI Jinro has competed in WCG vs Koreans before, and didn't just fall over like a bitch. It's pretty clear you have understanding of competitive play. Enjoy wasting your time.

However, most sports, you don't just quit when defeat is imminent. Football games aren't called just because the winning team is up by 4 touchdowns in the last ten minutes of the game. There are very few instances where you would resign instead of playing out the rest of the game.
