Wonderful piece of theatre. Saw two different tours with different casts in New York City. It is powerful, not recommended for soldiers with active PTSD. I especially found the "letters from home" scene absolutely wonderful and devastating.
Love this!! Watching it in my theater 111 class at SIUE and I'm thankful my professor is sharing not only classic works and newer American or popular theater but also opening us up to newer works like this from other parts of the world
i dont want to disapoint u mate but most the para and sas are made up off scottish lol cheak it out in fact 65 percent of the british army are scottish
as an ex Scots Dragoon Guard we were always paired with Black Watch Never mind Scotlands best infantry regiment THEY WERE Britains best infantry regiment brung back a lot of memorys Scots DG Black Watch ,Black Watch Scots Dg we RESPOND ANY CRISIS 2 REGIMENTS GET CALLED THE 2 BEST THEY R BOTH FROM SCOTLAND
I know you must be proud of being Scottish and the Black Watch but I wouldn't say they were the best regiment in the British army, they are good but not the best, The rifles have a battalion which is part of the commando, 1st Btt. Then you got The Mercians, Royal Anglian Regiment, Guards, PWRR and far by the best regiment in the armed forces alongside the Royal Marines are the Paras, now you can't tell me the Black Watch are better than the Paras lol. Btw i think the Black Watch are brilliant.
that's all they are, Actor's in a Nazi war on the Public taxpayer's that pay their wage's; Rape, Pillage and Plunder = Schizophrenic Stockhom Syndrome; no wonder they can't cope with Nibiru, Japanese for Depression!
hey - i actually have the documentary and the play on dvd - managed to download it, but as far as i'm aware, its hard to get it now. I would be more than happy to send you a copy as i've copied it for so many people and want as many people to see it as possible. If you'd like a copy - drop me a line!
would appreciate it m8, any chance you could upload it somewhere so i can download it? not really in the habbit of giving people my address, no offence
ok - if you can talk me through how to upload it to somewhere, cos i'm a bit blonde when it comes to things like this!...totally understand not wanting to give your address though.
most amazin play i've seen before ... went to a workshop with the school before we went to see the play spent the whole day doing movement with Emun :)
The tune at the beginning I believe is by SNORE PATROL. Fortunately not in the production. This is a riveting and unpretentious creation by the NTS. I believe it is a doing a week long run in the SECC 2008.
seems to be a brilliant play! would be successful in germany as well I think! not only because of it's uniqueness - germans do like war critical works of art like this.

I'm looking for the "wee Bonnie Lass" tune (3:49) that's sung a couple of times - is it a traditional song or was it written for this play

seems to be a brilliant play! would be successful in germany as well I think! not only because of it's uniqueness - germans do like war critical works of art like this.
by the way, anybody knows the intro song's title?
