It's a mod.

A modification changes the game, adding new textures, models, sounds, gameplay features, etc..

Of course we've never seen them in the original game.

@ThebanPhalanx ok thank you for sharing that, i havent been into the totalwar series for long, only about a year when i got napoleon now i have medeval2 and i just orderd rome. i just wanted to see if they were a specal unit for a faction i haven't played as yet.

@lokna It is in the timeframe where Rome is trying to conquer the Italian Peninsula. It includes the Etrucans, Samnites, Umbrians, and all the other Italian tribes in Italy
