With everything going on with the economy, I almost want to burst in tears wishing Mr. Ronald Reagan would come back and revive the country to a standard never unheard of. I hate to use the word 'pain' but thinking of what is happening today, I can't help to say. I miss and need you President Reagan.
this is a huge ship! While in San Diego / National City, I could see this ship outside my hotel room. Miles and miles of all big ships! Made me feel proud to be an American!!!

Man, i love that ship. My brother(best friend) and some other good friends are on there. I did a tiger cruise after there last(2009) deployment and now have more respect for what they experience out there at sea. Even if it was 5-7 days, it was still an eye opener. HOORAH!!!

It is a very brief moment, because the ships turn very quickly, so a photographer has to be quick to zoom and capture it, and anticipate that obstacles (mainly, small boats) won't be in the foreground.
I served on the U.S.S. Yorktown CVS-10 homeported in Long Beach,Ca from 1961 to 1963 as a BT (Boiler Tech) . I stood with pride and honor as we deployed or returned from deployment,never having anyone on the pier waiting for me. While that part was kind of sad my heart bursted with pride knowing what we were doing was just and honorable. God Bless all who currently serve in any of our armed forces. I thank all who gave the ultimate.those missing in action,and all who return with injuries.
My son is on the Reagan and I am so very proud of him. As my license plates say "Proud Navy Mom" ....doesn't stop the missing him though. God Bless All our military men and women.

For any who haven't heard- I've received a few emails from my son working on the flight deck and he says he and others are okay, cold and snowing. He has seen the debris in the ocean. Know they can't write about operation details. Send snacks, they absolutely appreciate packages-which i hope are able to get to them in these weeks. Always send upbeat words. Always get your info from the Reagan website or CNN, not local news. Love to all Reagan crew-you can handle this challenge.

My son Brian is a flight deck officer and is one of those taking care of all the young men and women to be safe, he's the best at what he does. TallSky this is fabulous. I was on the Reagan 48 hours after this video was taken on February 4, 2011 for 28 hours. We were flown to the carrier deck in COD about 100 miles off shore of San Diego. This crew understands the concept of American Freedom. The Reagan crew are so very dedicated to our Country. Let us know when they are coming back, would love to be in San Diego to greet them.
