@TheDzos Its not supposed to look photo realistic. They travel into fantasy worlds reflecting people's ambitions and dreams.  That is why the CGI cartoony and unrealistic- it isn't the intention of the film to present realistic landscapes or effects. As far as I'm concerned the artistry on these worlds is amazing <3

This was my first Terry Gilliam movie, and it was bizarrely wonderful from beginning to end! When the credits came around, I exclaimed, already?! Everything from the acting to art direction was ingenious! I am keeping it on Netflix for another couple days, so I can watch it the extra features :-)

This movie wasn't all that great. I don't knowif it was to long or what but at a certain point it was just...not meshing together. And Tony or whoever the character who turned out to be bad's characterization was horrendous. That was really my main problem with it. It wasnt even that 3 different people played -infact that was the best part of it since all three actors kind of represented his personality at the time. Still...did not like it.

it was very much arthouse fare, which is part of why it wasn't huge. Well, that and what I assume was limited distribution once it came out finally since, despite the star power and hype, it did NOT reach a major cinema house in my town (it never ceases to amaze me that there are 19 movie screens in my area, in terms of chain locations, and not one could find space for the Runaways, Ponyo or this one...leaving two of those to our tiny art house (Ponyo, with DISNEY behind it, showed NOWHERE).

Especially the end is confusing.And quite funny thing: Valentina shags Tony,while she's 15 and quite mature,she has a model body.And Tony is a huge bit older than her..it's nothing special,just odd that a grown man makes out with a teenage girl xD
