These "Mindless Sheep" have been conditioned into believing all that the watchtower society deems as "TRUTH." Blind obedience or you are shunned, which is far worse than an islamic honor killing. I don't know who your friends are, but either they are not telling you the truth or they are very misinformed, because the WatchTower for 130 years now has always likened Armageddon to something like the Flood of Noah, a massive worldwide destruction where billions who are not a JW will perish.

I don't know who or what JW's you've talked with but that is NOT what was taught to me. NEVER was I told by them that I can only be saved by joining their organization. As a matter of fact, I've NEVER joined, and yet they STILL come to see me because they LOVE my interest, understanding, and knowledge of the WORD thru GOD'S blessings.. Its not fair to judge ALL based on the misunderstandings of a few..

On this matter however I just don't see how that could be true as I've known some JW families whom encourage their children to believe what they want to believe yet gives them studies to show them their way. There is no fear mongering going on, and I highly doubt that sort of thing still goes on considering the people I've met in conventions.

I am only 17 years old and I occasionally go to the Kingdom Hall meetings but sometimes the things they/we do doesn't make sense because I heard that those who are not among the JW are not to be associated with. is this true because my mom passed 4 years ago and she wasn't one. is it really a sin to love a family member who isnt 1 of us?

The Witness Organization was created by a common man... so if this is the answer to our current society, what was the answer for the others before the witnesses. I think JW's are good hard working people and I applaud their missionary efforts. What I cant believe, is that anyone would ever think that God, our Eternal Father in Heaven, would send His Son , Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Redeemer and say that ONLY 144,000 people will ever be saved. God loves all of His Children and I believe sent His only begotten Son to Die for ALL of us, who would believe and obey His commandments. How can accepting a limit into Heaven seem right? I'd like to see how their beliefs have changed on a chronological timeline, such as how many times they changed the date of Armageddon

This of course is very different from what I've been hearing from many people such as yourself, but this is what I've learned about JW's firsthand in my own experience with them. So I understand if you don't believe what I say is true or that if they're lying to me, but I've gone to many of their meetings and private studies so I don't see as to why they would teach otherwise.

I don't know who your friends are, but either they are not telling you the truth or they are very misinformed, because the WatchTower for 130 years now has always likened Armageddon to something like the Flood of Noah, a massive worldwide destruction where billions who are not a JW will perish.
JWs usually don't like to talk about this negative aspect especially if they think you might join.

Now I do believe that they (JW's) feel as if they got it ALL right.. However, the WORD says that WE ALL WILL BE DECEIVED, so I remind them that they DO NOT have all the answers, NONE OF US DO. IT takes divine intervention to gain complete understanding. However, i applaud them for being willing to go door to door, hood to hood, with the Bible in hand trying to teach about our Savior.

I don't know who or what JW's you've talked with but that is NOT what was taught to me. NEVER was I told by them that I can only be saved by joining their organization. As a matter of fact, I've NEVER joined, and yet they STILL come to see me because they LOVE my interest, understanding, and knowledge of the WORD thru GOD'S blessings.. @ToyaBJuicy I've had the same experience with them, and think the same as you do on the matter. And coincidentally I'm also not a witness for the reason that I don't think they're entirely right, nor believe that any side can ever truly be correct.
And it is truly sad how so many have come to perceive them as a cult. Though it's understandable by the anonymous group whom made the translation for their bible, the religion itself isn't cultish whatsoever. Nor are the people whom follow it.

If you are a baptized "born in", and you don't agree with the leaders you are likely disfellowshipped, your family shuns you for fear of being shunned themselves. Then there are all the children who have been sacrificed over the numerous blood doctrines for decades now. Sounds cultic to me

On this matter however I just don't see how that could be true as I've known some JW families whom encourage their children to believe what they want to believe yet gives them studies to show them their way. There is no fear mongering going on, and I highly doubt that sort of thing still goes on considering the people I've met in conventions.
That sounds old world to me.

@DisturbedKoala If there are parents "encouraging" their children to believe what they want, then they are no very good JWs because JWs are taught you are most likely to die at Armageddon, and they are told constantly by the WatchTower to limit their association, and if that person openly disagrees to shun that person.
JWs are preaching to people to save them from destruction, also so that they may be saved themselves, if that's not fear motivation I don't know what is.

They believe it's the event of a cataclysmic battle between God & the devil that does not involve any of God's children in the crossfire, therefore nobody suffers. I think JW's are good hard working people and I applaud their missionary efforts. What I cant believe, is that anyone would ever think that God, our Eternal Father in Heaven, would send His Son , Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Redeemer and say that ONLY 144,000 people will ever be saved. God loves all of His Children and I believe sent His only begotten Son to Die for ALL of us, who would believe and obey His commandments. How can accepting a limit into Heaven seem right? That makes no sense!

John 17:3 shows the guide line to eternal life. u need to get to know Jehovah God and his Son. u need to apply the biblical principles in ur life and live accordingly. To follow someone in their footsteps is litterally not easy, and surely not easy to follow the footsteps of JC. U keep 1John 5 like a mantra. U must understand that these words was written to those who actually showed their beliefs with works. Again: read James 2:20-22. A "faith apart from works" is actually worthless to Jehovah God, the faith that u so eagerly cherish.

@Mis4el ~ I've read James 2:22 IN CONTEXT with the rest of the Bible.
True faith DOES produce works, but our works do NOT produce or provide our Salvation for us.. JESUS has ALREADY done that for us simply as a FREE GIFT.
GOD says we are saved by GRACE thru TRUSTING JESUS, NOT by ANY works we may do.
*** Rom 11:6 ~ "And if by GRACE, then it is NO longer by Works; if it were, GRACE WOULD NO LONGER BE GRACE."
*** Romans 3:28 ~ "For we maintain that a man is saved by Faith APART FROM WORKS.."

@Mis4el ~ Yes, our walk with GOD is Life-Long.. But GOD gives us ASSURANCE about our Salvation if we have JESUS. He does NOT keep guessing..right?

@VAIO294 Yes, Believeing in Jesus is more than just sitting on ur butt saying that u believe in Jesus. It has to show in ur every day life that u live according to biblical principles, high morale and follow Jesus commands, especially the one Matt 28:19, 20. Yes God gives assurance of salvation, but not undemanding. He expects that u make an effort living according to what is right in the eyes of Jehovah God. And to know what is right, u need to study Gods word.

@VAIO294 The bible tells me when Israel was Gods nation, he had noone else outside his nation or organization that he blessed or worked through. When the first christian congregation was founded in the 1st century and Paul and the other apostles was working to spread the good news about Gods kingdom, Jehovah God only blessed the true christians in the first century? Jehovah God did NOT work through many different organizations with many different doctrines, and he still doesnt do that. tc & bye
