@Flicksnartan Swedish is my favorite sounding language. Sounds crisp, clear and musical, Swedish men usually sound very masculine. Someone (whose native language was Tagalog) once told me American English sounds to her like we're being very emphatic about everything. To me Swedish sounds like you're being very, very calm and sensible about everything.

Well…my American girlfriend learned it fluent (nearly) in a year when she moved to me in Stockholm. That took some effort! Even it is not a language you learn for fun. Swedish origin form “oldnorse” witch English also do so there are similarities.

@isak69 No, most swedes understand norwegian and some danish too (danish is not as "clear" as norwegian or swedish). Finnish is totally different, but the scandinavian countrys - no. We spell things a bit diffierent, but when it comes to understanding the language, I don't think there's a bigger difference between Sweden, Denmark and Norway than the accents that we have in Sweden.

It was definitely an interesting choice to cast him as an American, you wouldn't really notice it until you read he's Swedish, but once I read I noticed his Swedish accent for the rest of the series. He's really worked on the accent for True Blood though, he sounds completely American.

- If you talk about, Stockholm is like the size of mosquito-shit compared to LA, or actually it's not really a real city it's more of a big suburb, there's not even any sidewalks.
