  • Luis,

Gracias. Thanks for posting this. I'm a Stones fan from "way back' and I appreciate being transported back to that time. This is a simple yet elegant plea from a man who has been dropped for someone else. I've been there.

    Love,

    Don't wait too long

    When things go wrong

    I'll be there, yeah

    Where I belong.."

  • top song from the stones !!

  • Its a Wilson Picket song, not Stones´

  • Their first US tour was in May '64. Interestingly, Wyman described it as a "disaster". The outdoor gig you're thinking of was most likely San Bernardino. Hope this helps.

  • I first saw them on TV on their first (?) U.S. tour and they were in California playing at some outdoor venue. They were already huge on the radio and on 45rpm, but it was summer '64 (?) before I knew what they looked like. Was it '63? It was a good while before the release of "House of the Rising Sun," even a year. Help me out, please.

  • I'll be there!

  • if u love me why dont u send 4 me,..

  • Did the Wilson Pickett version precede the Stones version?

  • Pickett was co-writer and recorded it first, then Solomon Burke did a version.

  • great song

  • yeah,...

  • Some Hungarian fan pointed out this sounds like McCartney's "Oh, Darling". Could be; maybe Paul subconsciously nicked the melody.

  • ww1 call me. x

  • love this track...love jaggers voice ..love u....

  • Yes it's him. So young and they had Soul.

  • This is on 12X5.

    Is that Keef harmonizing?
