China's Armed Police is considered a paramilitary organization. Officers are considered to be troops rather than civilians.

@PROeLiTeZ Its very different in China, they are "called" People's Armed Police but they basically ARE the military during peace time. They guard borders, do anti terrorist stuff, basically the special police forces but Army standard. The proper army is called the People's Liberation Army. If there isn't a war going on, what is there to liberate? you get what I mean?
