That's really not accurate. The DREAM Act would not require an illegal alien teenager to have good HS grades, to finish college, or even to have a HS Diploma. The reality is that it is one big partial amnesty for illegals, most of whom would have marginal academic credentials.

I was an AB540 student i got my bachelors and teaching credentials. I cant teach at this time. I paid my way through school with a lot of sacrifice. It can be done. Now Im just waiting for the Dream Act so I can start working.

I understand how you feel. I don't think you understand the situation of the kids of these illegal immigrants. Sure it seems logical to label them as criminals and put them into prison or send back to where ever they came from,

BUT I have friends who were brought over here to Texas (not just Mexico) by their parents when they were very young from 2 to 7 year olds and grew up here essentially as Americans, graduated from High School and are trying to attend college but can't and even if they finish school they can't work or find money to pay for school, do you see how this isn't fair for them. Now people are telling them to go back to their country, this is their home, punish the parents NOT THE CHILDREN PLEASE SUPPORT

i dont get why people say "we are paying for their education" when in reality your on giving them like what 50 cents"?
the rest is payed by other americans who either dont complain or just dont care.
im sure if your parents were born here and they went to a different country as av action and you were given birth over you would like to come back right?

@youayntfresh I disagree. If the Dream Act passes, the overall impact would be significantly NEGATIVE. Illegals would tend to NOT repay the loans, and NOT finish their education, or NOT retain meaningful employment (only a select few percentage will)--thus, more DEBT (at the expense of taxpayers, the majority of which are USA citizens!)

@youayntfresh Were not but the law says otherwise. Plus your able to become an American just like every other person as long as you go through the correct proceedings. Anyone can become an American as long as you follow the rules. No other country is bending their laws for immigrants why should America. It is not American families fault that your parents brought you here illegally. Go back to your homeland and make it a better place for you and your citizens.
