It has L.Shankar - This is Shakti (not remember shakti ustaad).
For Remember Shakti, they were unable to locate L.Shankar and had to make do with bunch of other contemporaries including Charasia /Mandolin Srinivas etc
@bachekaboul I do believe this is the original Shakti which had L. Shankar and John playing the scalloped fretboard guitar. Regardless, the passion, grace and strength is awesome and inspiring. Thank you for posting!
I saw L. Shankar back in 2001 and was completely blown away. I'd jump at the chance to see him perform again. Can't find much recent news, but the following website seems to be the most up-to-date (it goes up to 2004). shankarandginggerDOTcom
L. Shankar is indeed great, he's released a few albums, you can find a good collection if you search scrape torrent. Or if you want to be more financialy suppourtive of the guy you can find his albums on amazon, the ones i would recomend are "eternal light" and "nobody told me", wich both feature zakkar husain on tabla as well, they are as beautiful as shaktis albums and something any fan of shakti would love, definatly worth checking out.
it sucks, that this dude, left Indian classical and started behaving like a pop/rock artist. he has been sucking ever since. i used to love his aberi and shankarabharanam RTP cassettes, as a kid. but he has released lot of shameful material after that.
AMAZING!!!! DO YOU HAVE MORE OF THESE? PLEASE POST!!!

This would be the original Shakti of the 1970's...Mclaughlin, Vikku Vinayakram, L.Shankar and Zakir Hussain.
